Himachal Pradesh public service commission has invited Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) through their official website for various positions. Details of the posts are as given below:

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has advertised a total of 28 posts. All these posts are purely contractual.

Vacancy details

Details of the vacancies are as follows:

Assistant Professor: 23 posts
- Assistant Professor (Pharmacy) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Class-I (Gazetted): 08 posts (UR=03, UR Ex-Serviceman=01, EWS=01, SC=01, Physically Handicapped (Orthopedically Handicapped)=01 & OBC=01)
- Assistant Professor (Pharmacy) in Pharmaceutics, Class-I (Gazetted): 04 posts (UR=02, UR Ex-Serviceman=01 & EWS=01)
- Assistant Professor (Pharmacy) in Pharmacology, Class-I (Gazetted) : 05 posts (UR=01, UR Ex-Serviceman=01, EWS=01, SC=01 & OBC=01)
- Assistant Professor (Pharmacy) in Pharmacognosy, Class-I (Gazetted) : 06 posts (UR=02, UR Ex-Serviceman=02 (including 01 backlog post), ST=01(backlog) & SC=01)
Tehsil Welfare Officer, Class-II (Non-Gazetted):05 posts (UR=03, OBC=01 & SC=01)

Pay scales

Assistant Professor: Rs.15,600 - 39,100+ Rs.6,000 Grade Pay. Contractual employees will be given an emolument of Rs. 35,000/- per month.
Tehsil Welfare Officer: Rs.10,300 - 34,800+ Rs.4,200 Grade Pay. Candidates selected as a contractual employee will be paid fixed amount as admissible.

Age Limit:

The applicants, who are between 18 Years to 45 years, are eligible to apply for these posts of Assistant Professor and Tehsil Welfare Officer, Class-II in HPPSC.

Qualification for Assistant Professor

Essential Qualification: Candidate should have Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Pharmacy in relevant branch of Pharmacy with 60% marks or equivalent either at Bachelor level or Master level.
Desirable Qualification
Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Himachal Pradesh.

Qualification for Tehsil Welfare Officer

Essential Qualification
Candidates should be passed Graduation from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification
Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Candidates of Other States including reserved category(s) candidates of other states: Rs.400/-
S.C. of H.P. /S.T. of H.P. /O.B.C. of H.P./ EWS (Covered under BPL) including S.C. /S.T. /O.B.C. Ex-Servicemen of H.P. relieved from Defence Services on their own requests before completion of normal tenure and SC/ ST/ OBC wards of Ex-SM of H.P., i.e. Dependent sons of Ex-SM of H.P.: Rs.100/-
Ex-Servicemen of H.P. / Blind/Visually Impaired of H.P./Female Candidates: No application Fee.

Mode of payment

The application fee is to be paid via Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking through "ePayment Gateway"

Examination Centre

For Tehsil Welfare Officer:-Shimla / Mandi / Kangra at Dharmshala.
For Assistant Professor (Pharmacy): Examination centres for CBT / Offline, as the case may be, shall be allotted by the Commission at its discretion keeping in view the number of candidates.

Submission of Documents

After submission of Online Recruitment Application (ORA) the printout/ hard copy of Online Applications form is to be taken and submitted on the day of screening test/ personality test along with self-attested/attested copies of requisite documents/certificates.
