Banasthali Vidyapith is a residential educational institute only for girls offering "Five-Fold Education" to girls enrolling from all over the world. The history of the institute started in 1935 when Pandit Hiralal Shastri lost his daughter at the age of only 12 years.

Admissions details (2020-21)

Being a girls university, admissions in Banasthali Vidyapith is open only for girls from any religion, caste or domicile. It is a residential institute and all the students need to stay in the hostel during the course. The exemption is there for the students of the staff of the institute and the students belonging to the nearby villages (within the diameter of 50 kilometers from the institute). Lastly, the candidates interested in admissions need to submit their duly filled application forms on or before the last date of the application fee along with the prescribed application fee.


Admissions in class 6th to class 9th are based on merit and performance in aptitude tests. For admissions in class 11th, the merit of marks in 10th or equivalent exams are considered. The age for class 6th should be 10 to 11 years, 6 months on 1st July 2020. For class 9th, the age limit is from 13 years to 14 years, 6 months on 1st July 2020.

Application process

The first thing you need to do is to get the prospectus and application form by making payment of Rs. 800/- in cash at the Higher Education department in Vani Mandir, Banasthali Vidyapith. You can also send a DD for Rs. 800/- in favor of "Banasthali Vidyapith" payable at Banasthali /Jaipur and post it to the "SecretaryBanasthaliVidyapith, P.O. BANASTHALI VIDYAPITH - 304022, Rajasthan"
Once you have received the application form and prospectus, you need to read the prospectus carefully and check the eligibility before filling up the application form. Then fill the application form and submit the same before the last date of submission.

Directions- how to reach Banasthali

You can reach Banasthali by road, train or air. It is around 72 kilometers far from Jaipur and there are many Rajasthan Roadways Transport corporation buses running on Jaipur-Banasthali route everyday. Newai is the nearest stop for those who are coming through railways and is around 66 kilometers from Jaipur and Swaimadhopur. Jaipur airport is around 59 kilometers from Banasthali but Banasthali has its own licensed Air Field (09/26) to be used in an emergency.
