How to apply for ICAR entrance examination 2020 and get admissions into various agricultural courses

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has announced the entrance examination for admissions into the various agriculture courses i.e. UG, PG and PhD programs in its affiliated institutions. National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting various prestigious entrance examinations in India. This agency is also conducting AIEEA-2020 on behalf of ICAR.

To get admissions into various courses, candidates have to apply online for ICAR entrance exam.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct entrance exams for the admission of UG, PG, Ph.D. courses in 2020. The test is purely online computer-based tests in English-Hindi medium. In this online entrance test, every question with a correct answer will be allotted four marks and an incorrect answer will take away one mark from the total.Admission into UG courses
B.Sc. (Honours), Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Sericulture courses are under the UG program. Similarly, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech. Diary technology, B.Tech. Food Technology, B.Tech. Biotechnology, BFSC courses also come under these UG programs. The total seats under UG category courses are 2,784. Eligibility requirements for UG courses
Inter MPC/BiPC/MBiPC or Inter Agricultural courses with 50% marks. 50% of marks are sufficient for SC, ST, and Physically handicapped candidates. Candidates must be 16 years of age by August 30, 2020. Exam and selection procedure
Entrance exam include 150 objective questions for 600 marks. Questions will be in English and Hindi medium. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be given and for a wrong answer, one mark will be reduced.
On the basis of marks, merit list will be prepared and the candidates will get admissions in ICAR affiliated institutes.
The entrance fee for the general category will be Rs.750, Rs.350 for SC, ST, and Physically handicapped candidates.Admission into PG Courses
Plant Biotechnology, Plant Science, Physical Science, Animal Biotechnology, Agri-business management, Statistical Science, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Horticulture, Forestry/Agroforestry, and Civic Culture, Water Science Technology, Food Science and Technology, Veterinary Science, Agronomy, Fishery Science, Dairy Science, Dairy Technology, Home Science, Social Science are the courses offered in the institutes which are affiliated to ICAR. Candidates must possess 10+2+5 (BVSc and AH) or 10+2+4 or 10+6 years B.Sc. Degree program with 60% marks. Candidates must be 19 years by 31 August 2020.Exam and selection procedure
Candidates have to apply for PG courses in online mode. For general candidates, the entrance exam fee is Rs.1100 and for SC, ST and physically handicapped candidates are Rs.550.Admission to PhD. Programs

The ICAR-JRF/SRF (PhD) exam include 120 objective mode questions for 480 marks. The exam duration is 120 minutes. The exam will be conducted in online mode. Candidates will be selected on a merit basis only.
Applications to a Ph.D. program should be submitted in online mode only. The fee for general category students is Rs.1800 and Rs.900 for SC, ST and Physically handicapped candidates.Career opportunities for Agricultural courses

There is a demand skilled workforce in marketing, transport services, crop sale business, storage of crop products, granary establishment, and maintenance.
