How to submit online applications for SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2020

Are you interested in working for rural development? SBI and many NGOs have invited applications for Youth for India Fellowship from eligible candidates. About Fellowship

The SBI Youth for India Fellowship has been started by the State Bank of India as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility. SBI Youth for India will engage only selected candidates in a 13-months long program. Under this fellowship program, urban youths will be allowed to stay and work in the rural area for a specific period. They will work in rural development projects. The main aim of this fellowship is to bring urban young minds closer to the rural community in rural areas so that they can understand the rural sustainable development challenges and solve these issues practically.

Job Allocation

Projects will be assigned after the orientation program.
Assignment allocation will vary from fellow to fellow.
The selected candidates will undergo a 13-month training program in a rural area.
Urban youth will get a chance to stay and work in a rural area and learn rural development by assisting in several developmental new and ongoing assignments.
The fellow will work under a mentor under his guidance in a particular development project.
The fellow will work for an NGO.

Terms and Conditions

The selected candidates will have to stay at rural locations.
They will not claim any job post-fellowship, however, they can contact the NGO for continuation.

Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian Nationals can apply for the fellowship.
The candidates must have completed graduation.

Stipend

Young fellows will be paid Rs.16,000/- per month during the fellowship period. After completion of the fellowship, an adjustable amount of Rs.50,000/- will be given to the candidates.

Other Benefits

The candidates will gain experience in rural development.
The candidates will get an opportunity of working with well-known NGOs.
The candidates can continue into the NGOs post-fellowship.
After successful completion of the fellowship, a completion certificate will be awarded to the candidates.
Travelling allowance and medical insurance will be provided to the candidates.

Duration of Fellowship

The programme will be running for a period of 13-months.

Age Limit

The candidates who are in the age group of 21 to 32 years can apply for the programme. However, there will be age relaxation as per the recruitment rule.

Online will have to be submitted through online mode only.

Application Fee

There will be no registration or application fee for the fellowship.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on Documents Verification and Interview.
After the final screening of applications, the candidates will be called for a personal interview.
Final selection of aspirant for the fellowship will be done based on the performance in the personal interview.
