It is interesting to note that Google has taken such initiatives to award scholarships in these categories only for the women candidates. Those who have a good academic career so far can definitely apply and be benefited by it to a large extent. The other advantage that is coming out of this lucid information is that the candidate if awarded the scholarship would get a chance to be introduced to the community of the awardees and other beneficiaries and this helps in networking one's life. We are today living in a digital era and networking makes immense sense as it can bring newer opportunities through the information and communication between the students who are linked to such programs.

A few days back I read that many companies are approaching the site LinkedIn to get some employees quickly as per their requirement as many qualified people have registered in LinkedIn. So that is the power of networking through various online platforms.
