Kerala Management Aptitude Test 2020 online applications for MBA courses
Are you looking for admissions to MBA courses in Kerala colleges? First, you need to appear for the Kerala Management Aptitude Test, known as KMAT in order to get MBA admissions to a university or department or management college in Kerala. The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Exams (CEE), Thiruvananthapuram, Government of Kerala invites online applications for Kerala Management Aptitude Test 2020 (KMAT-2020), the entrance exam for admissions to MBA courses in Kerala. That is, if you qualify with the requisite marks in KMAT-2020, you are eligible to apply for admission to an MBA Course in a University or Department and other management colleges in the State of Kerala. However, the eligibility for KMAT-2020 is provisional in nature. You will be required to fulfill all the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the admitting institution at the time of admission to the MBA course, and produce the requisite documents to support the eligibility.Eligibility requirements
Nationality Both Indian citizens and foreign students can appear for the entrance exam and apply for an MBA course.
Age criteria There are no restrictions on age for a candidate who wishes to appear for the entrance exam.
Educational Qualifications You should have completed a three-year Bachelor's Degree course in the stream of Arts, Commerce, Engineering, or Management or any equivalent program. For the Degree qualifying exam, you should have scored a minimum of 50% marks if you are a general category/SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward) category student and at least 40% marks if you are SC/ST category student. If you are appearing for the final year of the qualifying exam this year, then also you can apply but are required to produce documentary support of the results before the admission process.
Note: Applications under a reservation category of Communal/Special/Persons with Disabilities, and concession in fees is permitted only for candidates from the State of Kerala.
KMAT-2020 exam format and questions
The entrance exam is an online computer-based one that will be held at test centers in the cities of Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, and Kannur. The date of the test will be announced on the official website at a later time.
KMAT-2020 will be conducted for the duration of 2 ½ hours with 180 objective type questions. Each question has four marks allotted to it, so the total marks are 720. You will get one mark less for an incorrect answer. In case you do not answer at all, there will be no deduction of marks from the total score.
The type of questions that will be asked covers different subjects and is based on the 10 + 2 curriculum. There will be 50 questions of English Language Usage and Reading Comprehension and 50 questions to test Quantitative Ability. Each of these will have a total of 200 marks. Then there are 40 questions related to Data sufficiency and Logical Reasoning and 40 questions to gauge General Awareness and knowledge of current affairs. Each of these will have a total of 160 marks.

You have to apply only through the online mode at the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations latest by 20th May 2020, 5 p.m. A valid email ID and mobile number are necessary to register first and then apply.
You must also pay the application fee online via Internet Banking or with a debit card or with a credit card. The offline option for payment of the application fee is through an E-challan that can be made in cash at any of the Head Post Offices or a Sub Post Office in Kerala. General and SEBC candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs.1000/- and SC/ST candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs.750/-. Note that the application fee once paid is non-refundable.
On paying the fee, you need to upload a recent passport size colour photo as well as a signature to the online application. The photo should be a color photograph with a light coloured background in jpeg format (15KB 30KB size, and resolution of 150 x 200 pixels). The signature should be on a plain white paper and should be uploaded in jpeg format (10 kb and 30 kb size).
You can select four city codes from the list of options given for your choice of center, in order of priority. However, note that if there are less than a certain minimum number of candidates opting for a city, then you may be allotted a center in another city irrespective of the one that you selected.
Take a print out of the confirmation page on successfully completing the online application. You do not need to upload any documents during the online application process. Also, do not submit the documents or a print out of the application form to the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE).

You need to download the Admit Card for KMAT-2020 from the official website (the date when it will be available will be notified later) and bring it to the exam center, along with the registered valid ID proof.What to do after the result is declared
After the result is declared, if you wish to submit a complaint about the answer key, then you can do so in writing within five days to the CEE, along with supporting documents and a fee of Rs.100/- per question by way of DD in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. In case your complaint is found to be genuine, then the complaint fee will be refunded.
You must submit the relevant documents, including for nationality and nativity, reservations, age, academic qualifications, etc. at the time of admission at the Kerala college or university where you have got admission to the MBA course.
