Are you searching for the notification of the dates of the final exam for UG and PG students of CU to be held on in 2020? Then you are on the right page. The University of Calcutta has announced the exam timing for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Finally, the confusion has vanished from the mind of all students who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses under the University of Calcutta, Professor Debasis Das, Registrar of Calcutta University has released a notification on the same.

Due to the nationwide lockdown for the corona outbreak, all institutes and universities are closed now. Just after implementation of lockdown, Chief Minister of West Bengal, Smt. Mamta Banerjee announced that the students of all undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be promoted to next semester without any exam. Only the examination of the final semester will be held on. But there was no confirmation on the date of the same. As Smt. Banerjee announced earlier that all institutions will remain closed till 10th June, management has started online classes but was unable to clear said doubt of all students!

The State Education Minister, Partha Chatterjee announced a few days ago during the meeting with the vice-chancellors of all the state universities that the exam should be held on within a month after lifting the lockdown. And being inline with him, Prof. Das has notified that the final Calcutta University semester examination 2020 for undergraduate and postgraduate students will be conducted within one month after the University opens. He told that the colleges or universities are likely to open on 10th June although the lockdown likely to be lifted on 18th May. That's why it is to be noted that the exams are planned to organized by one month from the University opens again, not from the date of lifting lockdown. He also instructed to the CU as well as all its affiliated colleges to sanitize their premises by ten days after lifting of lockdown.

The University has also informed in another notice that the books which are in its library have been digitalized. Students will be able to read this digital collection online at free of cost during the lockdown. Interested students should visit the official website of the library of Calcutta University at
