About HSCSIT

Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology, Department of Science & Technology, Government of Haryana previously known as Haryana State Council for Science and Technology is an autonomous body and registered as Society. The main function of Council is to carry out research and development activities and to advise the State Government on policies, measures and their implementation for promoting Science & Technology (S&T) in the State.

About the Fellowship Programme

The fellowship programme is intended to attract meritorious students in any branch of science including life sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, mathematical sciences and engineering sciences. To attract talent as well as meritorious students, HSCSIT is offering research fellowships to the candidates who have qualified JRF-NET or LS-NET of CSIR-UGC joint test and are willing to carry out research work leading to a PhD degree in the relevant subject areas from any of the Institute or University in Haryana.

Eligibility criteria: The interested candidates must have a masters degree in Science or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks. The candidates should have qualified JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) & LS-NET in joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for lectureship (NET) held on 16.06.2019.
Note: The candidates who are already availing fellowship/ financial assistance from any other source are not eligible to apply for this fellowship programme.

Age limit: The maximum age limit for JRF is 28 years as on 01.01.2019. There will be a relaxation of up to 5 years for the candidates belongs to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backwards Classes, Women and Physically Handicapped candidates.

Emoluments: A monthly stipend of Rs.31,000/- for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Rs.35,000/- for Senior Research Fellow (SRF) will be provided to the candidates who have qualified JRF-NET of CSIR-UGC but not availed the fellowship from CSIR-UGC for some legitimate reason. Further, for the candidates who have qualified LS-NET, a monthly fellowship of Rs.18,000/- will be provided for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) category and Rs.21,000/- for Senior Research Fellow (SRF) category. A contingency grant of Rs.20,000/- per annum will be provided to the University or Institution.

Duration of fellowship: The fellowship tenure will be 3 years which may be extendable to fourth and fifth year as per terms & conditions of the program. However, the complete duration of fellowship as JRF plus SRF will not exceed 5 years in any circumstances.

How to apply

The candidates who are interested in HSCSIT Fellowship Programme can apply online by below-mentioned steps:
  1. To check eligibility and other details, applicants must visit the website of DST Haryana.
  2. To apply online, the candidate should visit the website www.saralharyana.gov.in. Only the applications received through "saralharyana" portal will be considered.
  3. The applicant must register himself by clicking on New User/Register Here option. The candidate will have to fill all the mandatory details to create a login ID and password.
  4. For registration, a candidate must have a valid email ID and mobile number for receiving emails and messages.
  5. After registration, a verification link will be sent on the registered email id or mobile number of the user by Saral Haryana through email/message. The candidate will have to submit the verification code to verify the account.
  6. After account verification, the candidate must re-login the account using user id & password and then fill the application form.
  7. To apply for HSCSIT Fellowship, select services and select application form.
  8. All the mandatory fields need to be filled and all the required documents need to be uploaded online with the form.
  9. Upon submission of the e-application, the candidate will receive a "Saral ID number" that must be saved safely for further communication.
  10. After submission of the online application, the candidate must print the copy of the application and keep safely in his/her record. Please note that there is no need to send the copy of application print out by post to HSCSIT.

Following documents must be accompanied the application form:
  • Age proof certificate i.e. 10th standard certificate
  • NET Exam certificate
  • M.Sc. final year certificate
  • Caste certificate
  • Proof in case of physically handicapped.
  • Aadhar Card.

Important Note
  • Only online applications will be considered.
  • More than one applications submitted by a candidate will not be considered.
  • Wrongly filled applications will be rejected.
  • Applications that will be lacking mandatory details or documents are subject to rejection.

Application submission deadline:The last date for submitting the online application is June 30, 2020 up to 05.00 P.M.
