Established in 1997, CGU Odisha was originally named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering. Over the years the college expanded itself and has now grown up into a full-fledged university offering course on a number of disciplines. Currently, the university is offering a number of B.Tech, BBA, MBA, M.Sc, M.Tech, PG Diploma and PhD programs. The last date for applying for admission for the session 2020-21 is 30 June 2020. The following programs are on offer at CV Raman Global University.
The disciplines on offer are - Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Thermal and Production engineering. There are also programs on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English literature. The admission to the different programs will be through an online test, CGET – 2020. Based on the rankings obtained by the students in the test, the candidates will be offered the disciplines. A candidate can apply for only one program and only one application form to be filled. There are no application/examination fees to be paid while applying or appearing for the entrance test.

Eligibility criteria
Any resident or non-resident Indian national can apply for the programs. Persons of Indian Origins (PIO) too may apply for any of the courses. The course-wise eligibility criteria is given as under.Age limit
For the four-year B.Tech programs the age of the candidate should not be less than 16 years as on 31 July 2020 and not more than 21 years. For the lateral programs in B.Tech, the candidate's age should not be more than 25 years.How to apply
For applying for one of the courses, the candidates need to visit the official website of CV Raman Global University and apply online. Candidates can download the information brochure, before applying. Read the same and follow the necessary guidelines. While filling up the form, the candidate has to give the correct and complete details. On submission, an application number will be generated that can be used by the candidate for future correspondence. A confirmation will also be sent through SMS or email. As such, it is essential that the candidates give their latest mobile number and e-mail address during registration. The e-admit card will be available from 10 July 2020 onward. Candidates will have to download the same and take a printout on an A4 size paper. Candidates to ensure that all the details mentioned in the e-admit card are correct. The test centre, date and time will be mentioned in it. It is essential to carry the e-admit card to the test centre, without which, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the test.Seat reservations, if any

The CGET - 2020 online entrance will be held at different test centres in the country. The list of the test centes with their codes can be confirmed from the college website or the information brochure.
About the test – CGET 2020
The test will be an online computer-based test. The test will be multiple choice type, with four options for each question, including the correct one. The test will be of 3 hours with 180 questions. Every correct answer will fetch you four marks, whereas a wrong answer will result in a deduction of one mark. Not answering the question will fetch zero marks. The options can be changed if the candidate so desires, but has to be done before final submission.Results
The results will be declared based on the ranking of the students in the test. The results will be intimated to the candidate through SMS, as well as it will be available on the website on the given date.Counselling cum admission
Based on the ranking obtained in CGET - 2020, the candidates will be called for counselling and offered admission. The candidates will have to come along with the relevant documents for verification purpose. Documents for verification
