Admission details and the procedure can be checked in the admission brochure available at the official website of JIIT. To apply for the PhD, candidates can apply online at the admission portal of Jaypee Universities. However, if any candidate cannot apply online; he/she can apply offline. For this he/she has to download the offline application form from the website of JIIT.
After filling the complete application, the candidate must submit the application form along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- in favour of "Jaypee Institute of Information Technology" payable at Noida/ Delhi either personally or by post to the following address:

There will be a written examination for each program discipline to check the knowledge and research ability of the candidate which will cover all the core subjects studied at the Master's degree. However, different questions for each discipline will be asked.
Duration of the Test: 150 Minutes (60 minutes + 90 minutes)
Total Marks: 100 Selection of candidates
Candidates will be selected based on the written test and personal interview and only those candidates who will perform well in written test and declared qualified in interview will be given admission to the courses. During the interview, the candidate will have to present a short presentation before the interview committee in the area of his/her research interest. Eligibility requirement for interview
First, the candidate must fulfil the requirements of minimum educational qualification. It is also noted that the candidates are in the final year of Master's programme are also eligible to apply. But they must have to submit mark sheet of the qualifying degree by the date of registration in the PhD. Short-listing of the eligible candidates will be done based on the merit in PhD written test conducted by JIIT. Apart from this, the Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET / CSIR (JRF) exam for fellowship (not for Lecturership) or any other equivalent national level examination are also eligible to attend the interview.

No. of Questions: 65, out of which 50 questions are to be attempted.
Part II
Subjective Type (Descriptive, Analytical, Theoretical, Logical, Mathematical, Numerical,

Institutional Fee: There will be an institutional fee of Rs. 25,000/- per semester to be paid by the candidate.
Hostel Facility: Hostel facility is available to the PhD Scholar, which will be offered on a shared basis. However, PhD Scholars will have to pay an additional hostel fee of Rs. 67,500/- per semester. This fee is including boarding and lodging also.
Research Fellowship: Financial Support may be provided to full-time PhD students in the form of Research Fellowship, subject to availability.
