There have been fewer takers for this course for many reasons. The textile industry is a very highly competitive field and designs and fashions keep changing almost daily, having a fixed knowledge of the same would not do wonders in the long run. Yesterday's hard found design may be the outdated one today and frustration sets in among textile designers. The demand for new designs would make the students run for constant up-gradation of designs and thus new techniques need to be found to remain in the limelight. Since the textile business is associated with chemicals and dyes that are harmful to health, the students are keeping away from the new innovations. And for those who own textile businesses, it is constant running for new variety and new designs.
