How to get admission in Diploma Level Program CIPET CBT-JEE 2020

About CIPET

Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), an autonomous training and research institute, was established in 1968 by Government of India with the aid of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai.   1. Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology
    Course Code: DPMT
    Duration: 3 years, includes 6 semesters
    Entry Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10th Standard full-time course.
  2. Diploma in Plastics Technology
    Course Code: DPT
    Duration: 3 years, includes 6 semesters
    Entry Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10th Standard full-time course.
  3. Postgraduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing
    Course Code: PGD-PPT
    Duration: 2 years, includes 4 semesters
    Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in a full-time 3-year Degree in Science.
  4. Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD / CAM
    Course Code: PD-PMD with CAD / CAM
    Duration: 1½ years, (3 semesters)
    Entry Qualification: Passed or appearing in a full-time 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/ Plastics/ Polymer/ Tool/ Production/ Mechatronics/ Automobile /Tool & Die Making/ Petrochemicals/ Industrial/ Instrumentation Engineering/ Technology or DPMT / DPT (CIPET) or equivalent)

How to Apply

  • Official advertisement can be seen on the website of CIPET. The official web portal for CIPET JEE 2020 is www.cipet.gov.in.
  • Applications are to be submitted through the online portal https://eadmission.cipet.gov.in only. Applications submitted through any other mode or any other portal will not be considered for CIPET JEE 2020.
  • Important Note: CIPET will not be responsible for the candidate applied through any other web portal.

Step-wise Online Application Form Submission

First, to apply online the candidate must visit the online portal of CIPET-JEE. The candidate should also read all the instructions given in the information brochure of CIPET JEE 2020-21, available at the website, carefully before filling the online application form. Thereafter he/she must visit the link "CIPET announces Admission of Diploma Program through Computer Based Test (CBT) JEE 2020-21". After clicking upon the given link the process of filling up of Application Form starts.

STEP-I: Registration
First of all, the candidate will have to register himself. In this step, the candidate will have to fill all necessary information like Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, email id carefully in the registration that will appear on the screen. It must be done very carefully as once registered, information cannot be edited. After clicking on the button "Register Now", a confirmation message will display on the screen about the successful registration. The candidate will also receive the same message on the registered email Id.

STEP-2: Log In
Now the candidate can log in by entering registered Mobile Number and Date of Birth in the field provided.

STEP-3: Apply
In this step, after log in, all the four-course details will appear on the screen. The candidate must choose the course as per his/her eligibility and fill up all details like Personal details, Parents/Guardian details, Communication Address, Permanent address, Academic Details etc. At the end of this page, the candidate has to give a declaration to complete the application form.
Note: If the candidate is eligible for multiple courses and wants to apply for more than one course then he needs to apply and pay separately for each course.

STEP-4: Document Uploads
In this step, the candidate will have to upload the required documents and then click on "Save & Next" button to go for the next part of the application form.

List of Important Documents
  • Candidates must keep the following documents ready before filling the online application form. These documents are to be uploaded during form submission. The documents must be in jpg, jpeg, png formats only.
  • Scanned Coloured Photograph (without cap or sunglasses, only spectacles are allowed)
  • Full Signature
  • Other documents (If applicable)

Note: Documents must be visible; unclear documents are likely to be rejected.

STEP-5: Application fee and Payment
The application fee must be along with the application form. In case the candidate fails to do so the application will get rejected. Application fee per course is as given as under:
  • General / OBC/others: 750/-
  • SC/ST: 300/-
  • North Eastern Region: 100/-
  • Candidates from Foreign Nationals: US $ 50

Payment Procedure:CIPET JEE 2020 application fee can be paid in the following ways.
Online and Offline (Challan Payment): The candidate can deposit application fee in below mentioned Bank account through challan. After paying the fee, upload a scanned copy of challan in the document upload section and enter the details of challan like Bank name, bank branch name, challan number and challan date etc. and then click on submit button.

Note:The Offline Payment verification and confirmation may take up to 3 working days.

Online payment: In this method, choose the payment method as "Online". Then select a mode of payment from Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking and pay from your preferred mode.

STEP 6: Print Confirmation Page
After the confirmation of the payment (at least 3 days n case of offline payment), the candidate can take a printout of Confirmation Page anytime by logging into his/her account.

Admission Procedure:Admission to the CIPET courses will be done through a computer-based test (CBT) JEE 2020.
