How COVID-19 May Have Completely Transformed The World Of Education

Read this article to learn how the COVID-19 has transformed the world of Education in India and the rest of the world.

Towards the end of February, as alerts sounded on the developing spread of the COVID-19 infection, the World Bank set up a multi-sectoral worldwide team to help nations develop adapting measures. At that point, only China and a bunch of schools in other affected nations were upholding social distancing through school and college closures. Barely 2 weeks after this, 120 nations have shut schools affecting nearly a billion students around the globe that have seen their schools close for varied time periods.

Numerous schools and colleges chose to switch the rest of the semester's work to internet learning and some shut grounds to contain the spread of the virus. While some new-age schools and colleges had already tried virtual learning and were more ready for the move, most of the colleges were not prepared for online classes. However, it is true that this handful of new-age institutions are leading the way for innovation in the educational system. Here's how.

Remote Application Processes To Allow Social Distancing

Unfortunately, one of the many things the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted is the admission cycle of universities. However, instead of pausing or postponing the admissions, institutions can take them online and allow applicants to take their entrance tests online and let students apply for admission without having to step out of their homes.

Mobile Apps To Provide Relevant Information

One of the biggest gifts we have received from technology is mobile apps. They have the power to make everything easier, bring everyone closer, and solve the majority of our problems. These apps can also be used to solve the problems caused by the lockdown and allow educational institutions to share updates and information with students as well as parents.
