This is a piece of excellent information for the students aspiring for an Engineering career. These are the places where one can select the branch of one's choice and being reputed colleges one would have an edge in campus recruitment or job counselling.

If one is considering the top engineering colleges in our country then many other cities, apart from the mentioned ones in this article, also become a good destination for engineering education especially from 'studying in IIT' point of view. In that case cities like Chennai, Bombay, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Pilani, Guwahati, Tiruchirapalli, Varanasi etc also become interesting. In any case, the environment and competitive atmosphere of the college or university is a prime and crucial factor in selecting a college. Then there are issues like direct induction of the students in the industry or giving preference to the students of a particular college for project work. A student has to consider all these aspects before selecting a particular college for admission once he gets through the entrance examination process.
