How to do 2020 F.Y.J.C. online admissions for Mumbai and Maharashtra colleges

The School Education and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra will soon be starting the Class 11 Centralised Online Admission Process (known as CAP) for the academic session 2020-21 for admissions to colleges in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) area. Colleges should note that they should complete the registration of their institute latest by 22nd July 2020 as it is compulsory for all these institutes which are affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education to conduct the admissions for F.Y.J.C. only through this process. Students can begin their registration for admission from 26th July 2020. In the meanwhile, they can practice through a mock session to get an understanding of how it is to be done between 16th and 24th July 2020.

Mumbai FYJC College admissions procedure
Full details of the online application procedure will be updated in this article once the official website displays the relevant information. Students have to first register with a user ID and password at the official FYJC Admissions' website from 26th July 2020.
Make sure that you have the relevant documents scanned and ready to upload during the online registration for admissions. The list of documents required will be updated later. Like in previous years, there will be two parts of the registration procedure. Part-1 will contain basic information such as the student's name, address, contact details, etc. Part-2 is to enter the Class 10 marks and give the college preferences, that is, to which college in Maharashtra you are seeking F.Y.J.C. admission.Steps for Registration
You have to first indicate the area of the school from where you passed the Class 10 exam. The choices are: within MMR area; or outside MMR area (that is the school is within the State of Maharashtra but is located outside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Area); or outside Maharashtra State (including also outside India).
Next, indicate whether your status as a student. The choices are: Fresher, that is, you are appearing for the Class 10 for the very first time in March 2020; or Repeater, that is, you are re-appearing for the Class 10 exam in March 2020; or Previously passed, that is, you have passed the Class 10 exam earlier than March 2020.
The third information to be filled in the type of Class 10 or equivalent exam Board, namely SSC, CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, NIOS, or any other Board.
The fourth part is where you have to provide details of your Class 10 exam (or equivalent), namely, Seat/Roll Number, the month when you appeared, the year, and the name as it appears in the Class 10 mark sheet/Admit Card.
The fifth part is where you enter your contact details, namely, mobile number and email ID. In case you do not have one, you need to provide the mobile number of a parent or a relative. This is to facilitate communications with you to give you updates on the admission process.
Finally, to secure your account with safety measures, you can select a security question and the answer. Later, in case somebody else tries to fraudulently log in, this question will be asked and the user blocked on being unable to answer it. Another security measure, and the most important one, is to enter a password which should have 8 to 15 characters and should include only alphabets and/or numbers.

Closing date for registration by higher secondary schools and colleges: up to 22nd July 2020.
Verification of information of the higher secondary schools and colleges: up to 24th July 2020.
Mock Demonstration of the registration process: 16th July to 24th July 2020.
Filling up Part-1 of the registration form for admission by students: starts on 26th July 2020.
Verification of details filled up in Part-1 by the institutes: 27th July 2020 onwards.
Filling up Part-2 of the registration form for admission by students: after the declaration of Class 10 results.Updated online admissions schedule
The dates for filling up the Option Form Part-2 for Students and for the Zero Round for Quota Admissions for Management, In-house and Minority admission will be done from 12th August 2020 to 22nd August 2020, up to 11 p.m. During this period, the choice filling in Part-2, as well as submission of Part-1 and Part-2, can be done. The Guidance centres and secondary schools can also do the verification of the students' applications. Further, the surrender of Management and In-house seats is to be done during this time-frame.
The dates for the Regular Admission Round-1 are 23rd August, 12 noon onward up to 25th August, 5 p.m. A provisional General Merit list of all eligible candidates will be displayed during this period. Requests for objection/corrections against the General Merit through the "Grievance Redressal Module" of the student login and the online resolution of these requests by the concerned Deputy Director of Education will also be done during these dates.
The Jr. College Allocation list for Regular Round-1 admissions will be put up on 30th August 2020, 3 p.m. onwards, along with the cut-off list for the first general admission round.
The Online confirmation of admission in the allotted Jr. College by the student should be done from 31st August 2020, 10 a.m. onwards up to 3rd September 2020, 5 p.m. Admission rejections and cancellations, and the continuation of the Quota Admission process will be done during this time as well, along with surrendering of Management Quota seats.
Junior Colleges will have to upload the status of the students admitted on their respective websites between 3rd September 2020, 5 p.m. to 3rd September up to 8 p.m. Junior Colleges will be allowed to surrender the vacant quota seats as per the admission schedules and instructions that will be issued, if any, later.
