Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysuru Campus admissions 2020


Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus has invited applications for Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programmes. Here in this article, I have mentioned detailed instructions on applying for the Admission. The Last date for Applying for UG Programmes on July 25, 2020, and for PG Programmes is August 8, 2020.

Introduction

Amrita School of Arts and Science a part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham which established under section 3 of UGC Act 1956 and it is accredited by NAAC with A grade. The campus is having excellent infrastructure facilities with updated syllabus within the need of the industry. Amrita School of Arts and Science, Mysuru offers undergraduate programs, Integrated programs and Post Graduate programmes. The selection to PG programme will be based on Amrita PG Entrance Exam and it will be based on the merit. The following programmes are offered at the campus.

UnderGraduate Programs

  1. B.Sc(Physics, Chemistry, Maths)-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 50 per cent marks in plus two, PU or any three-year polytechnic Diploma. The total fees is Rs 46,000 per annum

  2. B.Com (IT and Finance)-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 50 per cent marks in plus two, PU or any three-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees are Rs 46,500 per annum.

  3. B.Com (Finance and Taxation)-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility to the qualifying to the course is 50 per cent marks in plus two, PU or three-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees are Rs 46,500 per annum.

  4. B.Com (Professional Accounting) The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 60 per cent marks in plus two, PU or three-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees are Rs 46,500 per annum.

  5. B.B.A(Bachelor of Business Administration-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 50 per cent marks in plus two, PU or three-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees are Rs 47,000 per annum.

  6. B.C.A(Bachelor of Computer Application)-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 50 per cent marks in plus two, PU or three-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees is Rs 63,000 per annum.

  7. B.C.A (Data Science)-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 60 per cent marks in plus two, PU or three-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees is Rs 63,000 per annum.

  8. B.Sc (Visual Media and Communication)-The program is of 3 years and the minimum eligibility for qualifying to the course is 50 per cent marks in plus two, PU or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma. The total fees are Rs 66,000 per annum.

Post Graduate Programmes:

  • MCA (Master of Computer Application)-The Eligibility for this program is B.C.A, B.Sc(Computer Science), B.Sc(IT) with Statistics or Maths as subjects and having minimum aggregate marks of 60 per cent. Duration of the Program is of 2 years. The total fees are Rs 85,000 per annum. Fees can be paid in instalments with the permission.

  • M.Com(Finance and Systems) The program is of 2 years and the minimum eligibility for the course is 50 per cent aggregate marks in BBM, BBA or B.Com Degree. The total fees are Rs 50,500 per annum.

  • Master of Arts in Visual Media and Communication-The program is of 2 years and the minimum eligibility for the course is Graduation in any discipline with 50 per cent marks. The total fees is Rs 66,000 per annum.

  • M.Sc Visual Communication-The minimum eligibility for the program is Graduation in any discipline with 50 per cent marks. The program is for 2 years. The total fees for the program are RS 78,000 per annum. The fees can be paid in instalments with prior permission.

  • M.F.A Visual Media-This course is Specialised in Animation and Content Management. The minimum eligibility for the program is Graduation in any discipline with 50 per cent marks. The program is for 2 years. The total fees for the program are RS 78,000 per annum. Fees can be paid in instalments.

  • M.A(Journalism and Mass Communication)-The minimum eligibility for the program is Graduation in any discipline with 50 per cent marks. Duration of the program is of 2 years. The total fees for the program are RS 66,000 per annum. Fees can be paid in instalments with prior permission.

Integrated Programmes


  • Integrated B.C.A, M.C.A: The eligibility for the program is 60 per cent marks in plus two or PU or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma. Duration of the program is 5 years. The total fees for the program are RS 67,000 per annum. An additional tuition fee of RS 12,000 will be there in the 4th and 5th year.

  • Integrated B.Sc, M.Sc Visual Communication-The eligibility for the program is 50 per cent marks in PU, plus two or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma. Duration of the program is 5 years. The total fees for the program are RS 69,500 per annum. An additional tuition fee of RS 4000 will be charged in the 4th and 5th year.

  • Integrated B.Sc, M.Sc Chemistry-The eligibility for the program is 50 per cent marks in Plus two or PU in Science stream. Duration of the program is 5 years. The total fees are Rs 46,000 per annum. An additional tuition fee of RS 16,000 and a special fee of RS 900 will be charged in the 4th and 5th year.

Procedure for Admission

  1. The application form can be purchased by paying an amount of RS 450 for all the Undergraduate and Integrated programmes. RS 550 for application form for PG Programmes.

  2. Fees must be paid through DD which is drawn in favour of Amrita School of Arts and Sciences payable at Mysuru.

  3. The application fees once paid will not be refunded back to students.

  4. Those who are seeking admission for any UG or PG Programmes must submit their application in the prescribed form.

  5. The Candidates will be selected based on the qualifying exam and interview performance.

  6. The candidates who are called for the interview must attend counselling on given date and time. candidate must be accompanied by their parent when attending the session and if their parents are not alive, then the guardian of the candidate can accompany the candidate. When the candidate is given admission after counselling, then they must join the college immediately by paying scheduled fees.

  7. The selection to PG programmes will be based on Entrance Test conducted by Amrita and the marks scored in the qualifying exam and the personal interview.

  8. The students must follow the rules and regulations of the college.

  9. The students must pay RS 1500 for examination fee in every semester and must collect their hall tickets before the end semester exam.

  10. If there is any loss or damage for any equipment or any asset made by the student, then concerned person will have to bear all the expenses for replacement of such item.

  11. At the time of admission RS 2000 must be paid as caution deposit by UG students. RS 3000 for PG students and RS 3000 for Visual Communication students. The fees will be refundable.

Important Documents for Submission

  • Class 10 Marks list or SSLC

  • Class 12 Marks list or PUC

  • Degree Mark List for PG programmes must be submitted.

  • Conduct and Transfer Certificate.

  • Photo Copy of Aadhaar.

  • Caste Certificate.

  • Recent 5 passport size photos.

  • If the student is an NRI, then he must submit a valid Student Visa, AIDS Clearance Test Certificate, Passport.

  • The admissions to the Programmes are under the approval of the University. If the candidate is having a good academic record, then immediate admission will be given upon application submission.

  • Mere application submission will not guarantee any admission to the programme.

  • If the candidate fails to submit any documents, his admission will be cancelled automatically.

  • All the original documents and mark lists must be submitted at the time of interview on specified date.

  • Dress code is mandatory for all the UG and PG students.

Rules for Refunding

The fees mentioned will be Annual Fee only. Semester payments are only can pay through instalments. If the student needs to cancel the admission, then he must apply for cancellation. The refund procedure will be completed in 15 days from the date of application received. The refund cheque will be issued in the name of the student and the student needs to come in person for collecting the same from the office.

If the student needs to discontinue the programme in the academic year, then the fee must be paid for both semesters. All the disputes will be done under the Mysuru city jurisdiction only. The last date for Admission for UG and Integrated Programmes in July 25th 2020. The last date for Admission to PG Programmes is August 8, 2020.
