TS EAMCET 2020 – common entrance test for college admissions in Telangana

TS EAMCET stands for Telangana State Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test. The test is conducted by JNTUH or Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad. By qualifying in this test students can apply for admissions to undergraduate courses in various fields in JNTU and other private colleges in Telangana. The test is conducted under the directives of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. The admissions are based on the ranking obtained by the candidates in the test. For appearing for this online computer based test, the candidates need to apply for it by visiting the TS EAMCET website. The entire application process, including, the payment of application fee is done online and the details are given below.
Category of courses

The online application process for the TS EAMCET 2020 had started way back in February 2020. However, due to the present situation, when schools and colleges are yet to open, the dates have been revised, albeit with late fees, as follows.Registration fees
Following are the fees for registration for the different categories of students.
Open category - Rs 800
SC/ST and physically handicapped – Rs 400
Open category - Rs 1600
SC/ST and physically handicapped – Rs 800Test centres
There will be twenty centres in all to conduct the test online. Out of these twenty centres, five will be in Hyderabad, eleven in the rest of Telangana and four more in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh. The candidate will have to select a centre of his or her choice. Once selected, it won't be possible to change it later. The complete list is available at the website.
How to apply
To apply for this online common entrance test, the candidates will have to visit the website of TS EAMCET. Once you are at the homepage of the website, select the tab that says, 'Step 1 – pay registration fee'. You can pay the prescribed fee online by using a debit card, credit card or net banking. Or you may otherwise visit a TS/AP online centre and pay the fee through cash. But before going for registration, candidates should ensure that they are in possession of an email account and a mobile number. After your payment is through, you can then proceed to fill up the online application form by providing the payment reference ID. While filling up the form, you will have to give details such as qualifying exam details, hall ticket number of the exam, date of birth, local/non-local details, stream applied for, Aadhaar number and caste category. After you submit the application form, take out a printout of the same. Depending upon your choice you may apply for engineering (E), agriculture & medical (AM) or both engineering as well as agriculture & medical (E&AM). Accordingly, the fee is to be paid. On successful submission of your application form, you will receive a registration number through SMS. The printed application is to be preserved and is to be carried to the exam centre on the day of the test. Before that you will have to paste a passport size photo on the given space in the printout and get it attested by your school/college principal or any gazetted officer. The application printout is to be submitted to the invigilator at the test centre.Practice or mock tests, if any
At the website, you will find a provision for appearing for a mock test. Only registered candidates can appear for the mock test, which is in English, Telugu and Urdu.
