The Tamil Nadu Dr. J Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University(TNMFAU) is one of the reputed music universities in India. The University was established by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to promote music and fine arts education. There is no age limit to apply for M.F.A part-time degree programmes in TNMFAU. Only candidates who have completed B.F.A degree in Painting or any concerned subject can apply for M.F.A degree in Painting or Visual Communication design. To get admissions into the M.F.A degree programmes, the candidates must have completed the education in (10+2+4) or (11+1+4) or (10+5) pattern. ie. 16 or 15 years of education.How to apply

The application form fee for General category students is Rs. 300/- and the application form fee for other students who belong to SC, SCA and ST category is Rs. 150-/. The candidates who have downloaded the application form from the official website must pay the application form fee in the form of a demand draft taken in favor of "The Registrar, Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University" payable at Chennai.
Before filling the admission form, candidates are requested to read the prospectus and fill the form carefully with correct information. All the mandatory fields in the form should be filled completely. Affix a recent passport size photo in the space provided in the form. Also, put a tick mark in the box wherever applicable. Please remember that incomplete application forms will be summarily rejected by the university.
While filling the application form, mention the demand draft details like DD amount, DD number and date, bank and branch in the space provided (No.21 in the application form). It is advisable for the candidates to take a demand draft before filling the application form. Also, the candidates must include their details like name, degree/course, phone number and the purpose of the payment at the reverse side of the demand draft.
Once the application form is duly filled in by the candidates, the completed application form along with the demand draft and the copies of the below mentioned certificates must be submitted at the University office located at Thendral Building Dr.D.G.S. Dinakaran Salai, Chennai-600 028. The last date to submit the M.F.A part-time weekend course application form at the Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University is 15.09.2020.

Entrance examination/Oral Interview for the selection of candidates for admissions into the M.F.A course will be conducted by University tentatively in the month of September 2020.
