The Controller of Examination, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECE Board) has issued the notification for Postgraduate Medical Admission Counselling-2020 (PGMAC-2020) for admission to the first year of the M.D.S. course in private dental colleges in the State of Bihar through Mop-Up counselling for vacant State quota seats. This Mop-Up counselling will be conducted offline only.

Who can register for PGMAC-2020 Mop-Up admissions counselling

Those candidates who were unable to get admission for a dental course in India through NEET-MDS 2020 in any Government or private institute and wish to attend the Mop-Up counselling for the dental course can do so now, through a fresh registration. Note that you can register for the Mop-Up counselling of PGMAC-2020 only if you appear on the list of qualified candidates of NEET-MDS 2020 as displayed at the official website of BCECE Board for seeking admission to the first year of the Post Graduate dental course at a private dental college in Bihar. The available vacant seat position will be uploaded at the official website on the day when the counselling begins.



List of colleges for admission

The admission to the first year of the M.D.S. Dental course against the State quota for vacant seats through the Mop-Up counselling session will be allotted at two colleges in Bihar, namely-
  1. Mithila Minority Dental College & Hospital, Darbhanga.
  2. Buddha Institute of Dental Science & Hospital, Kankarbagh, Patna.

PGMAC-2020 Mop-Up admissions counselling

You need to fill up the online application form at the BCECE Board official website to be able to attend the Mop-Up round of Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC)-2020. Before doing so, it is advisable to go through the prospectus to ensure that you fulfil the eligibility criteria for the M.D.S. dental course and read the instructions for online registration and fee payment. On successful submission, download and take a print out for future use if required.

In case you are a NEET (MDS)-2020 qualified candidate who has already submitted the online application form in response to the earlier notification and your name along with the PGMAC-ID is already included in the merit list published at the official website, but as yet you haven't obtained a seat in a dental college in India, then you do not need to apply again. You simply need to express your wish to attend the Mop-up counselling by logging in with your email ID and password and click on "Willingness for Dental Mop-up Counselling" button. After you have filled in the details that are required on the page, you should click on the "Save" button.

In case you are a NEET (MDS)-2020 qualified candidate and have work experience in a remote area/difficult location and are in service of the State Govt./any Public Authority you are eligible for attending the Mop-Up counselling on the basis of granting weightage marks for this experience as per Dental Council of India (DCI) regulations. Accordingly, during the online application process, where it is mentioned about a claim for reservation for serving as Medical officer in remote/difficult area, you can put "Yes" and provide the related data. So you need to log in and click on the button "Application for M.O. Employed Candidates" and fill up the details that are required, and make sure that you upload the required experience certificate (the prescribed format is given in the prospectus).

Note that you must produce the original certificate at the entrance gate of the counselling hall as well as during the process for verification of documents/seat allotment. Without the original certificate, you will not be considered for the counselling session.



PGMAC-2020 Mop-Up admissions counseling dates

Online registration begins on 10th August 2020 and ends on 12th August 2020.
Last date of payment via Net Banking or with a debit card or credit card with the final submission of the online application form of the registered candidate: 12th August 2020 up to 12.59 p.m.
Willingness for attending the Mop-up counselling who have filled online application form for the 1st round counselling: 10th August 2020 up to 12th August 2020, 11.59 p.m.
Online editing of the application form for fresh candidates: 13th August 2020.
Online editing of Remote data from such candidates who have filled the online application and given their willingness for attending Mop-up Counselling: 13th August 2020.
Publication of Merit list/Rank: 16.08.2020 up to 8 p.m.
Date of Mop Up Counselling: 18th August 2020.

Important notes:
Firstly, when you visit the campus for the counselling session, you should be prepared to stay till the subsequent day. Secondly, you will be required to deposit a bank draft of Rs. 1,00,000/- in the name of Controller of Examination, BCECE Board payable at Patna. In case you do not take admission as per the allotted seat, then the deposited amount will be forfeited. In case you take admission, you will need to deposit the rest of the amount of the required course fee to the concerned institution within three days from the date of your seat allotment/counselling.
