About the course Many of us like to watch sports and cheer our favourite players in the field. We remain focused only on the sportspersons and to some extent, on the stadiums on which the game is played but along with this a lot of work is done in the background to manage the whole sporting event. These works are equally important to make the whole episode successful and with the growing number of sporting events across the world, trained manpower is essential to manage the show. Keeping this in mind, International Institute of Sports Management (IISM), Mumbai, partnering with the University of Mumbai is offering a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management (BSM). The course specially focuses on two aspects – Management & Coaching.
While management is associated with planning, organizing, execution and also the administrative works, it also equally focuses on the business angles like promotion, finance and laws governing sports. Coaching makes you aware of the aspects of fitness, diet, necessary equipment and technology required for training, etc.
