Keeping this in mind and to make the professionals engaged in the field of Computer Science & Electronics ready to venture into the new domains, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani is offering admissions to these two postgraduate programs – Post Graduate Programme in Internet Of Things and Post Graduate Programme in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Both of these programs can be undertaken online.

Both these programs are purely for professionals and the candidates applying for the PG program in IoT must have a BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or in domains related to this. Professionals who have an M.Sc. in Electronics can also apply for this course.
Candidates applying for the PG program in AI & ML must have a BE/B. Tech in the relevant branch and professionals having an M.Sc in Mathematics/Statistics can also apply for this course. What you will learn in the PG program in IoT
The PG program in IoT deals with all the key aspects like hardware, software, big data, etc and their interaction with systems employing IoT. Emphasis is given on hands-on experience that you will gain by accessing various IoT platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino & ARM cortex based STM32 situated in the remote IoT labs of BITS Pilani. Videos containing expert lecture sessions and also learning materials in the digital format will be provided to you throughout the course. You will also be able to participate in discussion and support sessions. The program instructors of BITS Pilani will guide you in the Capstone project of six weeks duration where you need to design, build and implement a prototype IoT system. You will learn all the main concepts of AI & ML along with the technologies associated in their implementation. There will be lecture sessions provided online by eminent BITS Pilani instructors. You will also be able to participate in discussion and support sessions. The program instructors of BITS Pilani will guide you in the Capstone project of eight weeks duration where you need to solve business problems which are associated with Data Science. There are seven courses, including the Capstone Project in this program and the courses are:
The duration of both these programs is 11 months.
The last date to apply for both these programs is 21st September 2020. Examination Schedule & Mode
Examinations for all these courses will be carried out during both the PG programs. The first exam will be conducted after Course 3 ends and will be for Course 1, 2 and 3. The other exam will be for Course 4, 5 and 6 and will be conducted before the Capstone project. Since these programs are for professionals, examinations will be arranged during the weekends. According to the course plan, you have to submit the assignments online and have to participate in quizzes, related to the courses, online.
The examination can be taken online from your office or home or you can choose an examination centre. The examination centres are available at the following locations: Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Goa, Delhi NCR, Pilani and Kolkata. If you opt for online examination from your home or office you must have a Desktop with a webcam or a laptop, good internet connection and a smartphone. Program Fees
For both these programs, the program fee is Rs 245,000/-. Rs 25000/- has to be paid within 7 days after receiving the Provisional Admission Offer Letter and the rest amount of Rs 220,000/- has to be paid within the 15 days of receiving the Final Admission Offer Letter. Interest-free EMI is also available for these programs. After the EMI facility is approved, you need to make a down payment of Rs 22,000/- and after that, there will be 11 EMIs of Rs 18,000/-.
