Important things to note about the Program

1. Eligibility:
   • Students should gave successfully completed 12th class in any stream or equivalent
   • Should have completed Bachelor Preparatory Program (BPP) from IGNOU
   • No minimum or maximum age
2. Duration : IGNOU provides flexibility for the completion of the course. It can be completed in as less as 6 months. You may, however, extend it for a period to a maximum 2 years.
3. Fee : The minimal fee charged by IGNOU is just Rs. 1800/- for the entire course. However, it is subject to changes. It should, however, be paid in a lump sum at the time of submission of the form itself
4. Program structure: The certificate program consists of 16 credits in two courses :
   • Foundation course in Tourism
   • Tourism Development: products, Operations and Case Studies
5. Last date for submission of forms for July 2020 Session : The last date for the submission of the completed form for the July session has been extended this year till August 31st 2020

How to apply

• Online Admission: The student can visit the website, download the application form and submit the scanned filled-up form along with the scanned documents as necessary along with the online payment of the application/course fee. The Online IGNOU admission can be done at the website of IGNOU
• Offline Admission:: The student can physically purchase and submit the form along with the necessary documents and the fee in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city where the Regional Centre is located
• Necessary documents for admission: Few necessary documents for the program are:
  
  • Passport size photographs
  • Birth certificate
  • Self-attested 10th passing certificate along with the marksheet
  • Self-attested 12th passing certificate along with the mark sheets
  • Caste or category certificates if applicable.
