About the university
The ICFAI University Sikkim, established in 2004, is a private university in the state of Sikkim in India. Approved by the UGC, it is part of the ICFAI (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India) group of universities that excel in providing higher education in a number of streams namely, commerce, arts, business management, tourism, hospitality, law, computer applications and so on. The university in Sikkim offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs as listed below. Undergraduate:
Eligibility: The minimum eligibility criteria for all the above undergraduate programs is 50% or above marks in aggregate in 10+2 in any discipline. Students awaiting their results too may apply.
Postgraduate
Eligibility: Graduation in commerce with 50% or more marks in aggregate.
Eligibility: Passed a graduate degree in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks. MAT and ATMA scores, if available, will be of added benefit. Students awaiting their final year results too may apply.
Eligibility: Graduates from any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks can apply for this course. It will be an added advantage, if you have studied mathematics or statistics in 10+2 or graduation. Final year students to apply too, if awaiting results.
For lateral entry, candidates who have done BCA, B.Sc (Information Technology) or other related courses with IT background are eligible.
How to apply
The application for the above courses at The ICFAI University Sikkim is to be done online by visiting the online application portal of the university. Before applying, it is advisable to go through the online registration guidelines, the link for which is available at the registration page. Also, check the eligibility criteria of the course that you are applying for. Ensure that you are having a valid email ID, address and mobile number. You should be having access to your mark sheets and should have a scanned copy of your recent colour passport photo, the size of which should not exceed 25 KB. Once you are through with the guidelines, go back to the registration page and click on the link that says 'Online Registration – UG, PG & Law Programs'. The online application form will open up for you. Fill up with all necessary details, upload the scanned copy of your photograph and finally click on the submit button. You will be led to the online payment portal, from where you can pay the necessary admission fee via internet banking or through debit/credit cards. Candidates belonging to Sikkim, North Bengal and the seven northeast states can avail of fee concession .
