University of Mumbai Refresher courses admissions September/October 2020

The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) of University of Mumbai is conducting Refresher course which is six hours per day for a minimum of 12 working days i.e. a total of 72 working hours to make teacher's well-versed with the latest changes in their field of special study and bring in changes and adapt new understanding in their subject and take up research projects.

The subjects that the Human Resource Development Centre(HRDC) is conducting in the refresher courses are Mathematics & Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Nano-sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Bio-Sciences, Information & Communication Technology, Electronics & Instrumentation, Economics, Accountancy, Education & Psychology, Indian Languages, English, Marathi, Comparative Literature, Social Sciences, History, Management, Business Studies, Economics, Communication Technology, Human Rights, Law, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, etc.

The refresher courses program is of high quality concentrating on core topics of subjects like


The course is designed to make optimum use of subject material and practical/Lab work. It also aims in reforming examination by incorporating the setting of question papers for exams, evaluation, etc. Every refresher course organizes field/industrial visits for beneficial coverage of the subject and makes possible industry and institute association and aid in better understanding of various functions in their field of interest. The Refresher Course also provides an overview of the subject through electronic copies of study journals and research journals in different subjects.

Program schedule of refresher courses

Some of the programs scheduled for the second half of this year-2020 are
  1. E-Learning and E-Governance (Multidisciplinary). The course starts from 16th September 2020 to 29th September 2020. The last date for uploading the completed application form for the course is 20th August 2020. The training is coordinated by the Bombay Teachers' Training College, Colaba
  2. Commerce and Accountancy: Exploring the new Business Language in today's dynamic world. The Course commences from 30th September 2020 to 13th October 2020. The last date for uploading the completed application form for the course is 2nd September 2020
  3. English: Teaching Literature and Language - Then and Now. The Course begins on 5th October 2020 and will be conducted up to 17th October 2020. The Last date for uploading the completed application form for the course is 8th September 2020


It is to be noted by every applicant that all the above course will be conducted in an online mode due to the current pandemic situation until further notice and for the courses where organizing college names are not mentioned, it will be intimidated by the concerned department of the university.
