The Central Law College is a private law college in Tamil Nadu that was started in the year 1984 at Salem to provide law education. It is an ISO 9001:20015 certified institution which is offering the legal studies for more than 36 years. The college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Ambedkar Law University, Chennai and is recognized by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The medium of instructions for both the courses is English. In the 5-year integrated degree programme, the college will teach pre-law subjects like Literary English, Legal English, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration and Sociology for the duration of 2 years and then cover the procedural law concepts for the remaining 3-years of the course. For the 3-year degree course, only graduates who have passed B.A, B.Com, B.Sc., or Master's Degree from any recognized universities in India can join and learn the substantive laws like Property Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Procedural Law, etc.

Eligibility criteria

For admissions to a 5-year integrated B.A.LL.B course, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.

  1. Candidates who have completed their Higher Secondary (+2) Examination through the Tamil Nadu state board, CBSE, ICSE, AISSCE, IB, NIOS or any equivalent examination from a recognized education board can apply. Also, those who have completed their pre-degree intermediate through academic stream are eligible for admissions.

  2. The minimum eligible marks in the qualifying examination for admissions to the course is 45%

In addition to the above, the candidates must satisfy any criteria laid by the institution for improving the quality and standard of education.



How to apply

The online application form for the 5-year integrated B.A.LL.B course is available at the official website of the Central Law College.

In the online application form, candidates must fill their personal details, parent/guardian's details, address details and academic details. All the mandatory fields(*) in the form should be filled. Also, candidates must upload the scanned copy of their 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, aadhar card and the recent passport size color photo. The maximum file size of the image is 1.00MB and the allowed file types are jpg, jpeg, png. Remember, the incomplete application form will be summarily rejected by the college.

Note: The college does not accept the capitation fee or donation for admissions into any of the Law courses. Money has no place in the matter of selection or admission. In the event of any person demanding money for admission, the college management advises the students and parents to immediately lodge a police complaint with the name, identity and other details of such a person.
