Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), Bengaluru, Karnataka, established by the Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust, has issued the admission notification for admission to the B.E., M.C.A. and MBA programs (management quota) for the academic session starting this year. Sir MVIT is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi and offers AICTE-approved courses.

MVIT B.E. courses

The Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) undergraduate courses are of four years' duration. To be eligible to pursue a B.E. course, you need to have passed the Class 12 (10+2) exam with English as one of the language subjects and Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects along with one of these subjects – Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical vocational subject. In the qualifying exam of Class 12, you should have scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of students who are in the reserved category of Karnataka State) in the subjects mentioned, all taken together.

MVIT M.C.A. courses

The Master of Computer Application (M.C.A.) course is of two years' duration. To apply for admission to this course, you should have passed the B.C.A. or a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or have an equivalent Degree. Students who have passed B.Sc. or B.Com. or B.A. with Maths at the 10+2 level or at the Graduation level with additional bridge courses as per University norms are also eligible to apply. In the qualifying exam, you should have scored a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks is the requirement for students of the reserved category).

MVIT MBA course

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two-year postgraduate course. To apply for admission to the MBA course, you should have a Degree in any stream from a recognised University, with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the Degree exam (the requirement is 45% in case of students who are in the reserved category of Karnataka State). It is also required to have appeared in an entrance exam, such as the Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) or Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT), etc.

The course offers three core and three dual specializations. The core specializations are Marketing, Finance and HR. The dual specializations are Marketing and Finance, Marketing and HR, and Finance and HR.

How to apply

Applications should be made online only at the MVIT admissions portal after registration with a valid email ID and mobile phone number. A password will be sent to your via SMS and email, after which you can log in and first enter the personal details and contact details. Next, select the course for which you are seeking admission (B.E. or M.C.A. or M.B.A.), enter details of your educational qualification and proceed to pay the fee online.



Documents required:
For the B.E. course: You have to submit a Conduct Certificate (original with three sets of photocopies), three passport size photos, and a copy of the PAN card. Proof of address can be any of these-
  1. Passport

  2. Aadhar Card

  3. Voter Identity Card

  4. Driving Licence

  5. Ration Card

The fee for the B.E. course is payable in favour of "SIR M VISVESVARAYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY" by DD or Pay Order, payable at Bangalore.

For the M.C.A. course: You have to submit a Conduct Certificate, the Karnataka State/All India level Entrance Exam Rank Card, the 10th and 12th Marks Card, and all Degree Mark Sheets, along with the PDC/Degree Certificate. A Migration Certificate other than VTU and a Transfer Certificate should also be submitted if applicable. All these documents will be required to be produced in original with three sets of photocopies. Three passport size Photographs and PAN Card Copy are also required. Proof of address can be any of those as mentioned above for the B.E. course.

The fee for the M.C.A. course is payable in favour of "SIR MVIT -MCA A/c" by DD/ Pay Order payable at Bangalore.

For M.B.A. course: Original documents with three sets of photocopies will be required of the Conduct certificate, the Degree certificate, the Migration Certificate (other than VTU), and the Transfer certificate. Also required are three passport size photos, PAN card copy and address proof (refer to the list for the B.E. course).

The fee for the MBA course is payable in favour of "SIR MVIT -MBA A/c" by DD/ Pay Order payable at Bangalore.
