About the course
This course is conducted by Directorate General of Training(DGT), MSDE and offered through the National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI) under National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
Nowadays, the dependency on cloud computing has increased manifold and already there is a shift towards cloud-based storage. To equip students with a hands-on experience in this latest technology, National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), partnering with IBM, is offering admission to this Advanced Diploma Course in IT, Networking & Cloud computing. As an industry partner, IBM is providing help to design the course to suit the requirements of the industry. The total duration of this training is 800 hours spanning two years.
What you will learn
This is a two-year diploma course and the course is divided into 8 modules. In the first year, there will be 5 core modules and the duration of each module is 320 hours. In the second year, you have to choose 2 elective modules out of 3 and here also the duration of each module is 320 hours. There will be one compulsory module, which is common for all trade, of 160 hours duration. Other than these modules, you will undergo industry training in an organization where you need to work as an apprentice. The course modules are as follows:

Module 2: Computer Networking
Module 3: Web Designing
Module 4: Web Development
Module 5: Business Data Analytics

Elective Module 1: Cloud Application Developer
Elective Module 2: Cloud Enterprise Developer
Elective Module 3: Web Development using Java
Compulsory Module: Employability Skills
Prominent features
Apart from helping to design the curriculum of courses to be offered through NCVT, IBM will help students in the following ways:
A monthly stipend of Rs 15,000/- will be provided to the students during On the Job Training (OJT) period of five months
Depending upon the performance of the students, their economic background and attendance to the sessions, IBM may provide a monthly Scholarship/Stipend of Rs 3000/-
Placement assistance to the students will be provided by IBM. This assistance will depend upon the performance of the students in the course
IBM will look into the academic progress of the students completing this course so that they can proceed further to B.Voc or similar courses conducted by the partnering universities of IBM
Industry experts will be arranged by IBM to conduct the training sessions on advanced modules

Eligibility
The admission to this course is through an Online All India Common entrance examination (AICET- Diploma Admission), conducted by DGT
A candidate must be of 17 years of age as on 1st September of the year of admission to this course
A candidate should pass 10/12th standard and should have a National Trade Certificate (NCT) with minimum 60% marks in any 1/2 year trade
Or
Candidates appearing/appeared in the final exams of any Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) from NSTI/ ITI can also apply but they need to score a minimum of 60% marks, without which they won't be able to complete the course
Or
A candidate should pass 12th standard with minimum 60% marks
Or
A candidate with a 3-year Diploma after 10th and with a minimum of 60% marks
Or
A candidate scoring 60% marks in graduation from a recognised university can also apply
Entrance Exam fee
For general candidates, the entrance examination fee is Rs 500/- For SC/ST/PH/EWS/Women candidates the entrance examination fee is Rs 300/-

Important instructions
The exam centre can be selected by the candidates according to their preference. In case, the number of candidates in an examination centre is too less, another centre will be made available
The seats will be allotted to the candidates during counselling by the respective institutes taking into consideration the merit, choice preferred by the candidate in the application form and the prevailing reservation rules
Admission once taken cannot be transferred to a different location/institute
How to apply
In the CITS Registration link, click on "REGISTER NOW" on the left column. (Presently the link is not there because the notification for registration for August Session is yet to come but will be available soon)
By clicking, the Registration form will open which you need to fill up and press the "Submit" button. After submitting successfully, an OTP verification screen will be displayed where you need to provide the OTPs received on your registered mobile number and email address
After entering both the OTPs, click the "Verify" button. If you do not receive both the OTPs you need to click on "To Resend OTP – Click Here". After the verification is complete you will get the Qualification details screen
Enter the details of your qualification and press the "Submit" button. Then it will go to the screen of Documents upload
Upload scanned copy of the documents mentioned there by pressing the "Choose File" button and after choosing the required documents press "Upload" button. It will go to Apply Course section
From the dropdown, select the course and press the "Select Course" button. Then you will get the option to select the Exam Centres. Select the 4 exam centres by order of your preference and click on "Apply Now" button
You will be redirected to preview the application form and the documents submitted. If everything is shown correctly click on "Confirm and pay Fees Now!" If you need to edit any page select the Edit icons in the Activities column on the left side of the screen. On clicking "Confirm and pay Fees Now!" you will get the page of Billing details that you need to verify. On verifying, click on the "Pay Now" button
The Payment page will open where you need to select the mode of online payment and complete the payment process
After the payment is successful, you will see a success message and then click the "Close" button. A page will be displayed notifying that the application process is completed
