BVSc admissions are open at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) for the academic year 2020-2021. Candidates who wish to study UG degree in veterinary science, food technology, dairy technology and poultry technology can submit the BVSc/B.Tech. online application form of TANUVAS on or before 28th September 2020. About TANUVAS
Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University(TANUVAS) is a reputed state government university established by the Tamil Nadu Government in the year 1989 for education and research in veterinary, poultry, animal and fisheries sciences. It is the first veterinary university in India which has received the prestigious "Sardar Patel Outstanding ICAR Institution Award-2011". With the help of funding agencies, the university handles various research projects on basic sciences, food sciences, veterinary sciences, etc. Under the university, nearly 9 constituent colleges and various research stations, research centers and veterinary training centers are operating in Tamil Nadu. The constituent veterinary colleges of the university are located at Chennai, Tirunelveli, Namakkal, Thanjavur, Salem, Theni and Tiruppur. All the constituent veterinary colleges of TANUVAS has a research center and a hospital within the campus. The other constituent colleges of TANUVAS are College of Food and Dairy Technology-Koduvalli and the College of Poultry Production and Management, Hosur. To conduct learning programmes and research activities, TANUVAS has good infrastructure and facilities with a well-established vaccine research center and laboratories.
UG admissions 2020 at TANUVAS
Currently, for the academic year 2020-2021, the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University have released an official notification for admissions to the following undergraduate degree programmes offered by the TANUVAS. Only candidates who satisfy the below mentioned eligible conditions can apply for admissions to BVSc and B.Tech. degree programmes offered by the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

To apply for admissions to UG courses at TANUVAS, the eligible candidates have to submit the online application form available at the official website of TANUVAS. Only filled-in application form submitted through online mode will be accepted and all the other formats will be summarily rejected.
Candidates can apply for both BVSc and B.Tech. courses or any one course by selecting the appropriate options in a single online application form by paying the necessary application fee. Those who wish to apply for B.Tech. degree programs can submit the online application through a single pooled B.Tech application. Remember, in the application form candidates must fill their order of course preference for B.Tech programs and campus preference for a veterinary science course. The preferences given in the form will be considered during online counselling and it cannot be negotiated after the submission of the online application form.
Before filling the online application form, candidates are requested to read the instructions and prospectus carefully. At first, the applicants have to register themselves in the admission portal of TANUVAS by filling the necessary details like mobile number/email. After successful registration, applicants can login using their valid credentials and fill the online application form for B.VSc/B.Tech courses. All the mandatory fields in the online form must be filled and all the scanned copies of below mentioned documents/certificated should be uploaded online.
Certificates/Documents to be uploaded
The application form will be submitted successfully only after the payment of the application form fee online. The form fee for the BVSc &AH course is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/SCA applicants and Rs.700/- for other categories. The form fee for B.Tech Courses (Food Technology/Poultry Technology/Dairy Technology) is Rs.600/- for SC/ST/SCA applicants and Rs.1200/- for other category applicants. Applicants can pay the form fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Internet Banking/IMPS in the online payment gateway. Payment should be done only through online mode. Other payment modes will not be accepted.
If applicants cannot fill the form at a stretch, then they can save the form and edit the contents later until the due date of submission. Before submitting the form, applicants must recheck the filled-in form carefully in preview mode because no changes cannot be made after the final submission of the online application form.
After the successful submission of the filled-in online application form, applicants will receive a success message or email to their registered mobile number or email address. After the receipt, the applicants can download and take a printout of the application for their future reference. Applicants need not send the hard copy of the completed application form to the university. Applicants who did not receive the SMS / e-mail after 48 hours post submission can contact the admission committee of TANUVAS through email-admission@tanuvas.org.in.Selection process
TANUVAS admits candidates to the UG degree courses based on their marks in the qualifying examination. After the submission of the application form, the university will process all the submitted forms and will release a final merit rank list. The rank list for admission to BVSc & AH and BTech degree programmes will be published in the University Website and the shortlisted candidates will be called to attend the single window counselling on the specified date.
UG admissions at TANUVAS will be done purely based on the order of merit, Government reservation policies and course/campus preferences of the candidates. The selected candidates have to download the admission letter from the official website and report to the venue mentioned by the University and complete the admission process that includes document verification, certificate submission and fee payment. Candidates will be admitted to the course only after the submission of necessary documents and prescribed fee payment. After the completion of the admission process, candidates will be issued with an admission slip and they shall report to the admitted colleges on the date of orientation. Candidates who have failed to register for online counselling will not be considered for admission at the university.
