How to write an email for job application?


Are you looking for a job online / offline and have no idea on how to write an email for applying a job? How to apply for a job online? If yes, read this article for tips and guideline.

Keep ready your updated resume with all the detail including your Name, Father's Name, Address, Contact number / email, your LinkedIn profile link (or other job site link) if available (or create one for better presentation), age / DoB, educational qualification, additional qualification, fresher or few months training or few months or year/s working experience detail in ascending order, hobby and objective etc. in Ms Word or Pdf format.

Your focus right now is to search for a suitable job offline (Newspaper column) or online job portal including latest job posts from this (IndiaStudyChannel) site's Jobs section to get the latest one.

In case everything is matching for your job profile and the employer is asking resume to email other than postal one, you can then get the correct email ID, write "Application for XYZ job" as title in email subject beside 'advertisement reference' (Newspaper name or Online job site name with date) in brief.

Some employer may not ask offline (postal) application, so, follow them accordingly.

Don't write much in the email description since the attachment contain almost all your personal detail and the employer won't have time to read both (email description and attachment). However, you can select very few of them to use in the email description but don't use them all over there.

Attach the resume in email and follow the short covering letter (as email Description) as given below or find them on above image.

With reference to the above subject, please find my Resume is attached herewith for your kind perusal. I will render my best services to your organization if you give me a chance.

Additional note: The advantages of creating a LinkedIn profile is, many employers' or consultancies' would visit to your profile and get in touch with you directly in case if your CV is matching for their organization, whether you are unemployed or employed. So, it has many advantages in many professional level. So, update it in any job portal, like LinkedIn or TimesJob or Naukri etc.
