About the Internship at MoEFCC
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change offers an Internship Scheme for UG, PG students and researchers in various disciplines from various recognized University/Institution all over the world. This internship scheme provides an opportunity for the selected candidates to get familiar with the different divisions of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. They would analyze the reports and other information through empirical collection and collation. The main aim of this internship scheme is to permit the students so they can work at MoEFCC for mutual benefits. At MoEFCC, interns will learn about the functioning of Government functioning and Developmental Policy issues. They can also give their inputs in the amendments of policy.Details of Internship Scheme

Stipend Details
During the internship, a stipend of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) monthly will be paid to the interns of all categories. Provided that the intern must attend an internship regularly and stipend will not be paid in case of early leaving of internship before completion. And the amount will also be deducted for each absent mark for more than 3 days in a month.Schedule of Internship

The benefit to the Students
There are several benefits of an internship for students:
Experience Certificate: Upon completion of the internship, a Certificate regarding successful completion of Internship shall be issued by the concerned Division Head. However, the students, those who will not complete their internship for the requisite period i.e. 3 months, will not be issued any Certificate.
Logistics & Support: Ministry shall provide working space, Internet facility and other necessities as deemed fit by the concerned Head of Division to the interns. But interns will have to bring their laptop.Application Process
Application of internship is submitted in online mode only. No other mode of application submission will be considered. Details and number of internships available will be notified on the website of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Candidates must check the official website for the instructions and guidelines before applying. Interested applicants must apply online only through the online portal on the website of Ministry for an internship. The area of interest must be mentioned in the application. The applicant can apply for an internship in one discipline only. In case, any student applies for more than one discipline than MoEFCC will have the rights to assign him a discipline. The application should be addressed to the Under Secretary (P.I) section and must reach within the stipulated period given in the official notification. The application received in response to the MoEFCC's official notification for the Internships will be forwarded to the concerned Heads of Units or Divisions in Ministry for further scrutiny.
After completion of scrutiny, the Heads of Divisions or unit will make a list or merit of selected students and send their names to the Administration. The merit list will be displayed on the Ministry's website. At a time, HOD can take a maximum of 3 interns. Divisional Head is the final authority to decide the suitability of a candidate as an intern.Joining of Interns
A letter showing the status of the applicant in the institute and "No Objection Certificate" issued by the Supervisor or Head of the Department or Principal must be produced at the time of joining of the internship.Monitoring of Internship
The work programmes during the internship will be monitored by the concerned Heads of Divisions/ Units and they will also be responsible for the satisfactory completion of the internship. The attendance record and the details of work supervision shall be maintained by the Heads of the Divisions/Units.Report Submission
At the end of the internship, each intern shall be required to prepare a concise report of their project work and submit to the Heads of the concerned Divisions/ Units. Interns will have to present their work if the concerned Heads of particular Divisions/Units conduct a seminar for interns.
Code of Conduct: Concerned Group Heads will have the sole responsibility for the conduct of the interns and their data access.Modalities
Scheme Review: Ministry can review the internship scheme, which will be available on the website of Ministry.
Power to Relax: In case of a deserving candidate, all the powers to relax any of the above conditions will be with the Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.Contact Details

The students who complete their internship with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change will not have any right to claim a job in MoEFCC or its undertaking organizations. Does this mean that, in future, I won't be able to apply for a job there?
