This is one elaborate and informative article about the internship scheme by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation for the students doing their postgraduate or research degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Demography or any of the applied fields of Statistics.

The eligible candidates should avail this great opportunity as the scheme is floated by the Ministry and over and above that they are offering a stipend/scholarship to the students. Another thing is doing an internship is always a big asset as it gives additional practical knowledge in one's core area and helps in hunting for the jobs much more easily. The area of Statistics and data compilation and presentation is gaining much importance recently as the crucial decisions in organisations and companies are based on them only. That is one main reason why companies are hiring data engineers and data scientists for these needs.
