Application format to principal telling you are ready or not to send child to school after lockdown

Looking for the text to write an application to the school principal showing consent or dissent to send your ward to the school during or after the Covid-19 pandemic? Read this article to get more details from here.

Covid-19 pandemic has adversely effected on almost all aspects of our lives. Students' life and their education are affected badly. All educational institutes are closed since the last week of March 2020. Although, both schools and students are interacting with each other through online classes, this virtual classroom is nowhere close to real classrooms. There has been a huge loss of students' education and hence almost every teacher and the student are now waiting for the reopening of schools and colleges.

Rumours were coming that the educational institutes may reopen from September, 1. However, the central government has clearly announced that no school or college will reopen before September 30. However, students of class 11th and 12th can visit the school on their own to make a discussion over any topic with their teachers. Corona cases are rapidly increasing again and the education minister has clearly stated that no school or college will reopen until further orders. Almost all states are agreed with their order of the education minister but few states, like Haryana, have shown their willingness to reopen schools, and are seeking for the permissions from the central govt.

Many schools and colleges of such 'willing' states are asking for the consent letter from the parents of each student. Parents are supposed to write an application to the principal and send it through online mode. In this application, they have to mention whether they are ready or not to send their children to schools if they reopen. However, I am sure that most of the parents would be unwilling to send their ward to schools in such pandemic times. I am providing sample application formats for both options.

Respected Sir/ Madam,
This is to inform you that I am not interested to send my child (Name and class of the child) to school during the pandemic. I hope you will also reconsider your decision about re-opening the school, as it would be hard to maintain social distance in the school premises.

Thanking you.
