Anna University Chennai M.Sc. and M.Phil. programs online admissions open 2020-21

The Registrar of Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu has issued the admission notification to three of its postgraduate courses, namely M.Sc. five-year Integrated Degree program, the two-year M.Sc. Degree program and the M.Phil. Degree program for the academic session 2020-21.

All the two-year M.Sc. courses are over four semesters and offered at the various campuses of Anna University.
Eligibility: You should have passed the degree in the relevant field with 10+2+3 or 4-year pattern from a recognised University. You should have cleared all the subjects up to the fifth semester in the Undergraduate degree program and without any arrears at the time of applying. Students appearing for the final semester/year exam in 2020 are also eligible to apply for admission.
The relevant eligibility for each M.Sc. course is as follows-
For M.Sc. Mathematics: B.Sc. Mathematics or B.Sc. Applied Science. This course is offered by Anna University's Department of Mathematics at the College of Engineering, Guindy campus and at the Madras Institute of Technology campus.
For M.Sc. Materials Science: B.Sc. Physics with Mathematics as an ancillary subject or B.Sc. Applied Science. This course is offered by Anna University's Department of Mathematics at the College of Engineering, Guindy campus and at the Madras Institute of Technology campus.
For M.Sc. Medical Physics: B.Sc. Physics with Mathematics as an ancillary subject or B.Sc. Applied Science. This course is offered by Anna University's Department of Mathematics at the College of Engineering, Guindy campus and at the Madras Institute of Technology campus.
For M.Sc. Applied Chemistry: B.Sc. Chemistry or B. Sc. Applied Science. This course is offered by Anna University's Department of Mathematics at the College of Engineering, Guindy campus.
For M.Sc. Applied Geology: B.Sc. (Geology/Applied Geology). This course is offered by Anna University's Department of Mathematics at the College of Engineering, Guindy campus.

M.Sc. five-year Integrated programs Eligibility criteria
The five-year M.Sc. postgraduate courses are over 10 semesters. The age criteria for all three programs mentioned below is the same, namely, you should not have completed 21 years of age as on 1st July 2020. This is relaxed by three years for SC/SCA/ST students of Tamil Nadu. Those appearing for the qualifying exam in 2020 are also eligible to apply for admission.M.Sc. Computer Science
This course is offered by the Department of Mathematics of Anna University.
Eligibility: You should have passed Class 12 at the first instance with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study prescribed under Part - III or its equivalent. The minimum average score in these put together should be 45 % for OC, 40 % for BC/BC (Muslim)/MBC/ DNC/SC/SCA/ST category.M.Sc. (Information Technology)
This course is offered by the Department of Mathematics of Anna University. The eligibility criteria are the same as for the above course.M.Sc. Electronic Media
The M.Sc. Electronic Media course is offered by the Department of Media Sciences of Anna University.
Eligibility: You should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) of any group under Part - III or any other exam of any University or an authority approved as equivalent by Anna University.Online admission requirements

M.Phil. programs and eligibility criteria
These are full-time programs of one year's duration over two semesters.
Eligibility: You should have passed the Master's Degree in the relevant field with the 10+2+3+2 year pattern. You should have cleared all the subjects up to the third semester in the respective Post graduate Degree program, with no standing arrears at the time of applying. Students who are appearing for final semester/year exam in 2020 are also eligible to apply for admission.

For M.Phil. Mathematics: M. Sc. Mathematics. This course is offered at the College of Engineering Guindy Campus and Madras Institute of Technology Campus, Chromepet.
For M.Phil. Physics/Applied Physics: M. Sc. Physics or M. Sc. Medical Physics or M. Sc. Materials Science. This course is offered at the College of Engineering Guindy Campus.
For M.Phil. Chemistry: M. Sc. Chemistry or M. Sc. Applied Chemistry. This course is offered at the College of Engineering Guindy Campus.
For M.Phil. English: M. A. English. This course is offered by Anna University's Department of English at the College of Engineering, Guindy Campus.
For M.Phil. Crystal Science: M. Sc. Physics or M. Sc. Materials Science or M. Sc. Medical Physics or M. Sc. Chemistry (or) M. Sc. Applied Chemistry. This course is offered at Alagappa College of Technology Campus.

Applications will be accepted in online mode only at the official Anna University Admissions portal. You also need to pay the registration/application fee online. The fee is Rs.
