About NIABNational Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous Institute, located at Hyderabad, State of Telangana, set up by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. At NIAB, the focus is on the research in emerging new biotechnologies to improve animal health and productivity. Focus areas are Reproductive Biotechnology, Nutrition Enrichment, Animal Genetics and Genomics, Transgenic Technology, Infectious Diseases and Bioinformatics. The institute is engaged in the development of new vaccines and diagnostics for farm animals.
Training ProgrammeNIAB is inviting applications from the students are in the final year of their degree course and are seeking opportunities for training or dissertation work at a reputed organisation. NIAB will select exceptional students to carry out the training programme or dissertation work.
The benefit of the Training /Dissertation Work:At NIAB, the students /trainee will get the opportunity to complete their training or dissertation or project are supervised by scientists of the Institute.
Schedule of Training/Dissertation: Session I: January 2021–June 2021.
Duration of the Training programme or Dissertation Work: 6 months.
Number of Trainees: No fixed numbers of the trainee are available each year. However, the number may be increased or decreased as per the requirements.
Boarding and Lodging: The candidates will have to make all the stay and lodging arrangements, as the institute will not provide any accommodation or lodging facility at the campus. Besides, the candidate will make his/her arrangements for travelling during the training period.
Eligibility Requirements: The students must be in the final year of the master degree course like MSc, MVSc, MTech, integrated master degree.

The candidate who wishes to join the training or dissertation at NIAB should apply in the prescribed format available at the website of NIAB and also provided below.
In the application duration of the proposed project work should also be mentioned.
Besides, the candidate must send their request through the Head of the Department.
The HOD of the university or college should provide the academic CV of the recommended student(s).
In the CV, details of the subject and percentage marks obtained must be mentioned.
Filled-in applications must be sent through the e-mail to the following e-mail address: email@example.com.
In the subject line of the e-mail, it should be mentioned that 'Six months Dissertation Work application for January-June Session'. Apart from the soft copy, a hard copy of the filled-in application form must be sent to the following address:

Selection ProcedureSelection of the candidate will be based on his/her specialization and as per the requirement of NIAB research. The allotment of the lab to the trainees will be based on the requirement of the individual (Project Investigators) PIs. However, the candidates must mention their interest areas in the application form. The committee decision will be the final for the selection of the candidates and also not subject to any legal issues.
Note: Applications received after the closing date will not be considered for training or dissertation.
