This is a good article giving concise information for registering one's business in FSSAI site. The effort for registering all the food business of the country in a centralized agency culminated in the formation of FSSAI by the Govt as an autonomous body. It operates under the Ministry of Public health and its legal framework is backed by the ‘Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006'. In view of the increasing trend of husband and wife both opting for jobs, it is natural that the dependence on these catering or food providing outlets is going to increase in future. In view of this, it is necessary to comply with the policies of Govt and adhere to regulations in the food industry. Once a seller puts the FSSAI number or logo on his product then it is understood that he has complied with the existing guidelines and the buyer also can have confidence in the product because any shortcoming would lead to action against the seller whose registration number and details are already with the FSSAI.

One thing I forgot in the article is that the photo and documents should be self-attested. In other words, you should put your signatures on your photograph and ID proof before uploading them.
