IIM Indore Fellowship Programme in Management 2021 online applications


The Indian Institute of Management, Indore has released the notification for the Fellowship Programme in Management (FPM) for the year 2021 for which there are 30 seats. Introduction

The Fellow Management Programme (FPM) at IIM Indore is a unique doctoral program. The program will enable students to learn about the various research methodologies, thus enabling them to take up careers in research both in academic and non-academic fields.

The notification for FPM 2021 has been released by IIM Indore with the following specializations being offered: Communications, Economics, Finance & Accounting, Information Systems, Marketing Management, Organisation behavior, and Human Resource Management, Operations Management & Quantitative Techniques, and Strategic Management. For the academic year 2021, the intake for the program is 30.

Eligibility

In order to be considered eligible for this course, the candidate must have either of the following qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in any discipline with 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point. Integrated Masters degree programs are also allowed (60% marks needed here also).

  • Postgraduate diploma (two years) with 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point.

  • Professional qualifications (CA, ICWA, CS, etc) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate along with a Bachelors's degree (60% marks in degree).

  • First class or equivalent Bachelors degree of 4 years (8 semesters) duration with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA out of 10 or equivalent.

In addition to all these, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks or equivalent at both the Class X and Class XII levels. It must be noted that in the above-mentioned cases, a relaxation of 5% is given for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories.

Along with these, the candidate also needs to have an acceptable standard test score in their discipline of choice. Standard tests include CAT, GRE, GMAT, etc (tests taken from 2016 will be considered). Also, note that candidates in their final year of the qualifying course will also be eligible for applying. If provisionally selected for FPM 2021, these candidates will have to submit their certificates by June 10, 2021.

Application process

  • First the interested candidates are required to visit the admission webpage at https://www.iimidr.ac.in/academic-programmes/fellow-programme-in-management-fpm/admissions/.

  • Here at the top of the page, you will see the link "Apply online (for new applicants)". Click on it to open the application form.

  • Then you are required to enter all the relevant details including personal details, educational details, standard test scores, employment history, academic achievements, etc. You will also be asked to submit the requisite documents.

  • After submitting all the details and uploading the necessary documents, you are required to pay the application fee. The application fee is Rs 500 for SC, ST, and PwD categories. For General and OBC candidates it is Rs 1000.

  • Finally after this, the form can be submitted. Before the final submission, please ensure that all the details have been correctly entered.

Selection process

The selection of the candidates will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, certain candidates will be shortlisted for each area based on their academic records and the standard test scores. These candidates will be called for the personal interview which will be held in IIM Indore in March/April 2021. Then based on the scores in the personal interview the final selection will be done. The norms regarding reservation of seats are applicable with 27% seats reserved for OBCs, 15% for SCs, 7.5% for STs, and 5% for PwD candidates.

Financial support

The selected students will receive a stipend of Rs 30,000 per month during their course work. Rs 35,000 will be provided per month after having cleared the area comprehensive exam. The maximum duration during which the stipend would be paid is 57 months (4 years and 9 months).

Along with this, a contingency grant of Rs 25,000 per annum will be provided for four years to support research activities. The Institute also subsidizes the expenses involved in presenting papers in national and international conferences up to a ceiling of Rs 30,000 for a national conference and Rs 2 lakhs for an international conference. Along with all this, free boarding and lodging will also be available on campus.
