How to apply online for Board of School Education Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2020
Want to build your career as a teacher at any government school? The Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani has announced guidelines/instructions for the scheme of examination of TET 2020. This article provides eligibility, exam schedule, application procedure etc. related to HTET-2020.
The Board of School Education, Haryana is inviting online applications from the eligible candidates for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test - 2020 to appoint as teachers of the following three levels in a school affiliated by the board and recognized by the Department of School Education.
Candidates willing to apply for more than one level, should apply only separately.
Eligibility criteria
Primary Teacher
Or
Senior Secondary passed with minimum 45% marks and either passed or appeared in the final year of 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE regulation 2002
Or
Senior Secondary passed with minimum 50% marks and either passed or appeared in the final year of 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Senior Secondary passed with minimum 50% marks and either passed or appeared in the final year of 2-years Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Or
Graduate and passed or appeared in the final year of 2-years Diploma in Elementary EducationTrained Graduate Teacher
Or
BA/B.Com/B.Sc passed with minimum 50% marks and 2-years Bachelor degree holder in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE regulations 2007
Or
BA/B.Com/B.Sc passed with minimum 45% marks and 2-years Bachelor degree holder in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE regulations issued from time to time
Or
Passed in Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor degree holder in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Passed in Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor degree holder in BA/B.Com/B.Sc. Ed.
Or
BA/B.Com/B.Sc passed with 2-years B.Ed. in Special EducationPost Graduate Teacher
However, candidates should read the official notification carefully as given below to check detailed eligibility criteria.Pattern of test
There shall be only one paper of 150 marks to be answered within two and half hours for each level. All questions will be of a multiple-choice type carrying one mark each and having one correct answer out of four alternatives. No negative marking will be there for the wrong answer.
For the test of PRT, there will be 30 marks each for Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi-15 & English-15), General Studies, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. For the test of TGT and PGT, there will be 30 marks each for Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi-15 & English-15) and General Studies whereas 60 marks will be allocated for the specific subjects as opted.
60% marks need to be scored for all candidates to qualify which is relaxed by 5% for the candidates under scheduled castes and differently-abled / physically challenged of Haryana state only.Application fee
The application fee will be Rs. 1000/-, Rs. 1800/- and Rs. 2400/- to apply for only one level, two levels and three levels respectively for all candidates except SC and PH candidates of Haryana Domicile. The same will be Rs. 500/-, Rs. 900/- and Rs. 1200/- respectively for the candidates under SC and PH categories of Haryana Domicile.Application procedure
Note: Applicants must contact to the Assistant Secretary (Special Exam Cell) of the Board immediately along with the proof of payment of fee to consider their candidature for HTET-2020 in case the confirmation page is not generated.Important dates
