How to Apply for DBT-Biotech Industrial Training Program 2021
Are you a Biotech student interested in joining industrial training programs in biotechnology? The department of Biotechnology is inviting applications from the students for DBT-Biotech Industrial Training Program 2021. Biotech students can apply for the DBT-BITP training program 2020-21. About BITP Program
Biotech Industrial Training program (BITP) was implemented by Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi in 1993-94 on behalf of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Earlier, BCIL provides industrial training to fresh post-graduate biotechnology students for skill development. From 2007, under this program, B.E./B.Tech biotechnology students are also getting trained. BCIL coordinate BITP practical industrial training under DBT-Skill Vigyan scheme. Jobs opportunities are enhanced by hands-on practical industrial training to Biotech students and engaging them in R&D, quality control & analysis, production, manufacturing, marketing, regulation and Intellectual Property Rights.The objective of the Programme
The main objective of the programme is to provide industry-specific training to biotech students.

Duration of Training Programme: 6 months

Industry-Specific Training: The biotech students will get industry-specific training under this skill development programme. They will get the experience of working on industry projects alongside industry experts.

DBT invited requisition from biotechnology industry and life sciences companies interested to provide hands-on training to the students. In this programme, the industries/companies will also pay a stipend to the trainees besides a stipend paid by DBT as per the apprenticeship norms. Benefits to trainer Company
Application Procedure
Biotech students who wish to join industrial training must visit the official website of BCIL. Applications can be filled and submitted online on the website: www.biotech.co.in. The full procedure of application submission may be checked at the website.Documents to be uploaded
The candidates must keep the following documents ready before filling online application:
Application Fee: An application fee of Rs.500/- will have to be paid through Debit Card/Credit card/UPI or internet banking. The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.Selection Procedure
For the selection of the candidates, a computer-based test will be conducted in multiple cities/centres. To be eligible for selection, the candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned above. Trainer companies would be provided subject to availability.Computer-Based Written Test Centres

Upon completion of training, an online `Assessment' of all trainees will be conducted by the Life Science Sector Skill Development Council (LSSSDC). An "Apprenticeship Certificate" under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) by LSSSDC will be awarded to the trainees who qualify the `Assessment'.Important Dates
