About Textile Engineering

The designers design the clothes you wear and it's natural for everybody to choose the designs of the clothes they wear or the design of the fabrics they use in furnishings. Before designing, you need the cloth/fabric and Textile Engineering deals with the fibre and various processes related to forming the fabric/cloth from the fibre. The process has many things in it including chemical process, the formation of yarns, the structure of the fabric and so on. It also deals with the application of technologies in the textile industry, instruments used and testing of textiles. It is all about how the textile is processed/manufactured and this textile industry always has a good prospect.

With technological advancement, many new fibres are in place which is used nowadays instead of natural fibres since many natural fibres have a negative environmental impact during their production.

Does this sound interesting and do you wish to explore further? If it is so, then you are the right candidate to study Textile Engineering. Now, I am going to tell you about the colleges in West Bengal where you can study Textile Engineering/Textile Technology at the graduate and post-graduate level.
