The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune is a reputed academic institute under the aegis of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Indian Government. The institute is looking for applications from eligible and interested candidates for the online basic course on digital film production under the faculty of Shri AS Kanal and Jayashree Kanal.About the course
The course is aimed at those candidates who are interested to make films or want to know what is going on behind the screen. Through this course, you will be able to learn about each and every corner of digital film making! In addition to the technical and creative matters of film making, students will also learn various managerial skills to organize all shooting team members. Students will learn how a film is made through this course.
They will know about various subjects which are very much important for film production such as camera angles (T/P), movements, lenses, basic image sizes, lighting, scenes, shots, sequences, editing process, scripting, visual composition, dialogues, budgeting, sound design, director at work and many more! Two short films of 3 minutes each - 1 fiction and another non-fiction have to be made as a project at the end of the course. Candidates having at least 90% attendance will be provided an e-certificate after successful course completion. The mode of instruction in the class will be a mix of English and Hindi through the online platform of Google Classroom and Google Meet.Date and timing of the classes
The online classes will be held from Monday to Friday for 5 weeks from 11th January to 12th February 2021 except 26th January i.e the duration of the course are 25 days. It will be organized from 11.00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.Eligibility
Number of available seats
The intake capacity of the course is 15. However, the course may not be organized in case the number of participants does not reach 12. Point to be noted that a first-come-first-served theory will be followed for the selection process. All selected participants will receive an e-mail to their registered e-mail id. Additionally, a list of selected candidates may also be published on the official website of FTII.Fees
Indian nationals have to pay Rs. 29,500/- including GST and the foreigners including NRI, OCI and those who are staying outside the country presently have to deposit Rs. 88,500/- including GST as a course fee to take admission in 2021 FTII Basic Digital Film Production. All non-selected participants will receive the fees back within 7-10 days from the course commencement date but the fees deposited by any selected candidate will not be refunded, transferable or adjustable under any circumstances.
