The DDE, TANUVAS is offering the Post Graduate Diploma(PGD) programmes through distance education mode from the academic year 2011-2012. It is a one-year degree programme consisting of 2 semesters. Each semester accounts for 110 working days with a 10 days contact class programme. To complete the PG diploma programme, candidates must attend the contact class in both semesters. All the PGD courses have well-designed course content, course modules and self-learning materials. During the contact classes, practical sessions, comprehensive skill evaluation and final theory exam for each course will be conducted. Attendance is compulsory for all the contact class programmes. At the end of the second semester, candidates must mandatorily submit a project work to complete their PGD degree successfully. The University's final evaluation for the PG Diploma distance courses will be done based on a candidate's performance in Unit Based Assessment, Comprehensive Course Assignment, and Comprehensive Skill Evaluation and Final Theory Examination.

Candidates are requested to note the Transaction/UTR No. for reference. While filling the online application form, candidates should fill all the mandatory fields and upload all the necessary documents or certificates in PDF/JPEG format. The payment proof of the form fee should also be uploaded during the submission process. TANUVAS accepts online applications only, any other mode of submission will be summarily rejected. After submission of the online application form, candidates need not send the hard copy of the application to the university.Selection process for TANUVAS Distance Education PG Diploma courses
After scrutiny of application by the screening committee of the university, the eligible candidates will be called to attend an online entrance examination on the date approved by TANUVAS. The duration of the entrance exam will be 1 hour for a total of 50 marks. The online entrance exam will contain 50 multiple-choice questions with each carrying 1 mark.
After the completion of the entrance exam, the selection committee will prepare a merit list based on the candidate's marks in bachelor's degree, professional experience(if any), medal or awards won(if any) and the marks scored in the entrance exam.
The DDE, TANUVAS will release the merit list and will also intimate the selected candidates regarding their Distance education PG Diploma admissions through email. The selected candidates can appear either in person or through any online mode on the first day of the first semester for registration of courses and orientation. Candidates can register for the course only after the payment of the course fee online. Note, the selection for admission will be cancelled if the candidates fail to register for the 1st semester or fail to produce their original certificates for verification.Important dates
