About the program
Certified Cyber Warrior V3.0, an online certification course, is being offered by the Digital Skills Academy, an initiative by the Center for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Madras and the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM). The Digital Skills Academy at IIT Madras specializes in offering various such programs that are delivered online to participating students. The program on cybersecurity has been specially chosen by IIT Madras because it is one of the ten emerging technologies that are going to revolutionize the digital world in a big way. Among the ten, a few other technologies in the limelight are Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, the Internet of Things, 3D Printing and Virtual Reality.
Developed by academicians from leading IITs and NITs, the Certified Cyber Warrior V3.0 program envisages both theoretical and hands-on learning aspects that help participants in getting absorbed by the IT industry soon after their course completion. Through this program, the participants will be learning all those tips and tricks that are essential to ward off threats on the cyber front. The duration of the program is 14 weeks. The total hours of teaching will be 120 hours. The online lectures will be taken by Professor V. Kamakoti of IIT Madras and guest faculties from other IITs as well as industry professionals. The program content will be in both video and text format. The online platform for the course has been provided by NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), which in itself is a joint initiative of the IITs and IISc Bangalore. At the end of the course, there will be a 3 day 30 hours boot camp at the IIT Madras campus. At the boot camp, participants will get hands-on experience in some state of the art security tools.How to apply
To apply for the online Certified Cyber Warrior V3.0 course, visit the IIT Madras Digital Skills Academy website. After reaching the concerned course page, click on the 'Enroll' button given at the bottom of the page. You will be directed to an online registration form, where you will have to fill in all the necessary details, including communication address, mobile number, Aadhaar number and PAN number. At the same time, the applicants will have to upload the scanned copies of his/her Passport Size Photo, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card and Degree Certificate. The size of the scanned documents should be less than 2MB. There is no application fee for registering for this program.Certificate of Completion
