How to apply for internship at the Institute of Land and Disaster Management (ILDM) Kerala


Are you a Geography or Geology student studying in Kerala? Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Kerala is offering a new internship programme for Geography and Geology students to prepare a handbook in Malayalam on the ILDM river management. About ILDM

The Institute of Land and Disaster Management (ILDM) is a training institute that works in collaboration with the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Kerala and the Commissioner of Land Revenue, Kerala. The ILDM is located in Thirumala village of Thiruvanthapuram taluk which is mainly involved in training and capacity building on land revenue administration and disaster management. The institute has good infrastructure including well-furnished classrooms, computer rooms, conference halls and a dining hall. A wi-fi enabled library with a good range of books and canteen facility at a reasonable cost is also available on the campus. The ILDM's R&D division conducts different programs for the betterment of the governance in the State of Kerala. ILDM provides training to freshers and service personnel and helps them to develop their managerial and technical skills. It also works as a nodal agency for introducing the latest and innovative technology.

Purpose of the Internship

The purpose of the internship is to prepare a handbook on the Institute of Land and Disaster Management (ILDM) river management in Malayalam by involving geography and geology students. The internship has been offered by the Government of Kerala for this particular project on river management. Currently, the Department and Public Relations (DIPR), Kerala is inviting applications from the eligible students.

Details of Internship

Benefits to the Students: The candidates will get an opportunity to remain engaged in the preparation of the handbook on river management. For this work, they will be paid a monthly stipend.

Duration of Internship: The duration of the internship will be of 3 months.

Stipend: The candidates will receive a stipend of Rs.12,000 per month.

Eligibility Requirement:The candidates must possess a graduate degree in Geology or Geography.
