Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat has issued the admission notification for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) [PGDM (RM)] course for the academic session 2021-23. A percentage of the seats are available for NRIs, foreign nationals (FN), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC). About IRMA PGDM (RM) Course

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) is a full-time residential program of two years' duration (six terms) with 240 seats (no management quota seats). The course curriculum covers various aspects of finance and marketing, operations and analytics, project development, public policies, dairying and agri-business, and organizational design and systems from a rural perspective.

On-field practical education is included in two internship segments. The Village Fieldwork Segment (VFS) is after the first term of the classroom segment for nine weeks, during which students undertake tasks in a village as assigned by the host organization with which they are placed. There is also a Summer Internship Segment (SIS) after the third Term, with one week for presentation after that. In addition to the core courses, Elective courses are offered from Term III to Term VI. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are scheduled throughout the year, with students participating in cultural programs, sports competitions and club activities.



PGDM (RM) Eligibility criteria

You should be a Graduate in any discipline with at least 15 years total of academic studies and a score of 50% or above aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level (45% or above for SC/ST/differently-abled persons).

If you are appearing in the final year of the Bachelor's Degree exam, then also you can apply but in such a case you should be able to provide documentary proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria latest by September 2021 and have appeared in all the exams of graduation before the IRMA PGDM course beings in July 2021.

PGDM (RM) Fees

Course fee

For Indian nationals: The Tuition Fee is Rs. 11,66,990/- for two years. The fee for other services, charges and deposits is Rs. 3,50,110/- for two years.

For foreign national, NRIs, OCI/PIO/CIWG candidates: The Tuition Fee is US$ 31390 for two years. The fee for deposits and other charges is Rs. 1,17,100/- for two years.

Note: You are advised to check the official prospectus to know of additional fees, such as for the students' activity fund, convocation, fee, etc.



Application fee

Application Fee for Indian Nationals: Rs. 2500/- for General, General (EWS) and OBC category candidates; Rs. 1250/- for SC/ST/DAP candidates. Applicants of the BPL category do not have to pay any application fee, but to be eligible for the exemption they must upload a scanned copy of their latest proof of BPL status issued by the appropriate authority during the online application process.

Application Fee for FN/OCI/PIO/CIWG/NRI candidates: Rs. 3000/-.

IRMA PGDM (RM) application procedure

Applications should be submitted online only at the IRMA admissions website after registering with a valid email ID.

Documents required to be uploaded during the online application process:
  1. A scanned or digital copy of your photo and signature (maximum size allowed is 512KB).

  2. A scanned copy of your latest General (EWS)/OBC (Non-creamy)/SC/ST/DAP category certificate as applicable (maximum size allowed is 1MB).

  3. Scanned copy of 10th, 12th and Graduation mark sheets.

  4. Graduation certificate, sports certificate, extra-curricular certificate and work experience certificate, whichever is applicable (maximum size allowed is 1MB).

Selection process

All applicants must appear for the CAT-2020 conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) or the XAT-2021 of Xavier School of Management (XLRI). IRMA will shortlist and call applicants for the IRMA Social Awareness Test 2021 (IRMASAT 2021), Group Activity (GA), and Personal Interview (PI) based on-
  1. Merit: On the basis of category wise cut-offs (CAT2020 and XAT2021 percentile scores).

  2. Profile-cum-merit: On the basis of category wise cut-offs (CAT2020 and XAT2021 percentile scores) and Graduation in any one of these disciplines: Veterinary, Agriculture (B.Sc., B. Tech, Engineering, etc.) and Dairy Technology.

In the case foreign national, NRIs, OCI/PIO/CIWG candidates, they will be shortlisted for an Online Personal Interview (OPI) (scheduled for the second or third week of April 2021) on the basis of their GMAT (taken on or after January 2016)/CAT-2020 or XAT-2021 scores.
