IIFL scholarship Programme for the girl students 2021

About IIFL Scholarship

IIFL Scholarship is an initiative of IIFL Foundation, the CSR arm of IIFL Group to financial support the meritorious girl students who belong to economically weaker sections of the society. IIFL Foundation, a CSR arm of IIFL Group introduced this scholarship which aims to help meritorious girl students coming from a poor background. IIFL Foundation, the CSR arm of IIFL Group, a financial services conglomerate, has been working on many social and development issues in different parts of India. Apart from these, It has also been engaging in various disaster relief programmes. With a holistic approach, IIFL Foundation is working on long-term, high-impact projects that play a big role in transforming lives. Under this scholarship programme, those girl students who are currently studying in Class 9 to graduation level are eligible to apply.

Eligibility criteria

This scholarship programme is open for girl students only. The candidates should have scored more than 50% in their previous exam. They must be studying in Class 9 to graduation (3-year programme) level. Annual family income must be less than INR 3 lakh from all sources. Those candidates who are presently Samasta Microfinance customers or prospects only are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship amount

  • For Class 9 and 10 students: INR 3,500
  • For Class 11 to graduation students: INR 5,000

Selection process

The selection of scholars for the IIFL Scholarship will be done based on their academic merit and financial background. It involves a multi-stage process wherein initially, students are shortlisted based on their academic merit and financial need. After that, a telephonic round of interview would be done for shortlisting students for final selection. Those students who qualify for both stages of selection receive the scholarship amount in their respective bank accounts.

How to apply

The candidate who wishes to apply for the IIFL Scholarship will have to apply through the online portal only. Students who are going to apply for the scholarship programme must visit and read the guidelines available on the official website of IIFL. First, log in to Buddy4Study with your registered ID and land on the 'Application Form page. If not registered on Buddy4Study then try to Register at Buddy4Study with your Email/Mobile/Facebook/Gmail account. You will now be redirected to the 'IIFL Scholarship' application form page. Next to it, click on the 'Start Application' button to start the application process. Fill in all the required details in the online application form and upload the required documents. If all the details filled in by the applicant are correctly showing on the preview screen, click on the 'Submit' button to complete the application process.

Documents required

The candidates are required to upload a certain set of documents in support of their application. These documents are generally related to the applicant's identity, academic qualification, financial background and bank account details. The important documents which are required for this scholarship are listed below:-
  1. Aadhaar Card
  2. Mark sheet of the previous qualifying examination
  3. Current academic year fee receipt/bonafide letter/ID card
  4. Income proof
  5. Bank document
