About the Dr Kalam scholarship scheme
Dr Abdul Kalam Scholarship is an initiative of Buddy4Study India Foundation to financially support meritorious students who come from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of the society. The scholarship aims to help financially weak students and enable them to complete their professional degree. It has been started in name of former President of India Dr Abdul Kalam, who always wants to support the financial weak student for their education. In this scheme, financial assistance is provided to those students who get admission into any govt-recognised public/private engineering or medical institutions. These scholarships are offered to support the deserving student so that eligible students complete their education without any constraint. Under this scheme, the selected students will receive financial assistance of INR 20,000.Eligibility criteria

Eligible candidate will get a one-time amount of INR 20,000 at their registered bank account.How to apply
Register and apply for the Dr Abdul kalam Scholarship Scheme, then upload the necessary documents as part of the application process, and click on the submit button to complete the application process.
The documents required are-
1. ID proof with a picture (aadhaar card)
2. Address proof
3. Class 12 mark sheet (self-attested copy)
4. Income certificate issued by the competent authority
5. Bank account details of the scholarship applicant (cancelled cheque/passbook copy)

The scholars will be selected for the 'Dr Abdul Kalam Scholarship for Medical/Engineering Aspirants' based on their family income and academic background. At first, screening of applications will be done based on financial need and academic background. And the telephonic interview will be done for further shortlisting of the candidate. After that, a Face-to-face interview would be conducted for final selection (if needed).Important dates
