IIITDM Kancheepuram M.Des admissions 2021

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing(IIITDM), Kancheepuram is a national level institute that was established in the year 2007 in Tamil Nadu under the Ministry of Education to promote knowledge of products and processes involved in the manufacturing sector. The institute is well-known for offering UG, PG and research education in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Smart Manufacturing. In November 2021, the institute has started the School of Interdisciplinary Design and Innovation (SIDI) to provide design-centric education to the students in a way supporting innovation and research. The SIDI offers high-quality design programmes at all levels with the guidance of a Design Advisory Council which consists of leading design experts from the industry and academia.

Candidates who wish to become design leaders in manufacturing can apply for M.Des admissions in IIITDM for the academic year 2021 if they satisfy the following eligibility conditions.

Eligibility criteria

• Candidates should have completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Design/Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. For SC/ST/PwD candidates the minimum eligible mark is 55%.
• Candidates should have qualified Common Entrance Examination for Design 2021 (CEED 2021) with a valid score
• As per institute norms, candidates who apply for admissions with CEED 2021 score would be considered for an assistantship.

• Candidates should have completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Designing/Architecture with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the minimum eligible mark is 55%
• Candidates should be regular employee with continuous service of at least 2 yrs in the R&D organization, academic/institution, industry, Government organization, etc. and should be engaged in professional design work.
• While applying for admissions, the Sponsored Candidates should submit a sponsorship letter in a prescribed format from the employer along with the filled-in application form.
• Candidates without any work experience and a valid CEED score can also apply but they will be considered as self-sponsored. For such candidates, the selection will be done based on a written test and interview conducted by IIITDM.
