Maharashtra Eklavya Model Residential Schools Teaching Staff Recruitment Selection Exam-2021

The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) had earlier this month released the notification for the recruitment drive in association with the State Governments to appoint Principals, Vice-Principals, and teaching staff. Now the notification for the recruitment of EMRS in Maharashtra has been released, with a total of 316 vacancies, out of which a total of 80 are reserved for women. There are also vacancies for reserved category candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and other categories. To be eligible for these vacancies, you have to appear for the Eklavya Model Residential Schools Teaching Staff Selection Exam (ETSSE)-2021.

For all the provisional post-wise vacancies are mentioned below, candidates must be domiciled citizens of Maharashtra State.Vacancies for Principals and Vice-Principals
There are 16 vacancies for Principals, and 8 for Vice-Principals.

Candidates should not be over 40 years of age (refer to the official information bulletin for relaxation of age for reserved category candidates).
Academic Qualification: A two-year Integrated Post Graduate Course from a Regional College of Education of NCERT in the subject (list of subjects given below), with min. 50% marks in aggregate; or a Master's Degree from a recognized university with min. 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects-
PGT English - 5 posts: English literature.
PGT Physics - 5 posts: Physics/Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics.
PGT Chemistry - 7 posts: Chemistry/Biochemistry.
PGT Mathematics - 2 posts: Mathematics/Applied Mathematics.
PGT Biology -7 posts: Botany/Zoology/Life Sciences/Bio Sciences/Genetics/Micro Biology/Biotechnology/Molecular Bio/Plant Physiology, provided you have studied Botany and Zoology at the Graduation level.
PGT Economics -1 post: Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics.
PGT Commerce -1 post: Master's Degree in Commerce. However, if you are holding an M.Com. Degree in Applied/Business Economics, then you are not eligible for this teaching post.For Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)
Candidates should not be over 35 years (refer to the official information bulletin for relaxation of age for reserved category candidates).
Academic Qualification: 4-year Integrated Degree course of a Regional College of Education of NCERT in the subject (list of subjects given below), with min. 50% marks in aggregate; or a Bachelor's Degree with min. 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and in aggregate, as mentioned below-
For TGT English - 41 posts: English English as a subject in all three years.
For TGT Hindi - 6 posts: Hindi as a subject in all three years.
For TGT Mathematics - 56 posts: Mathematics as the main subject at graduation level with one of the following as second subject - Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, and Commerce.
For TGT Science - 21 posts: Bachelor Degree in Science with any two of the following subjects: Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry.
For TGT Social Studies - 33 posts: Any two of the following main subjects at graduation level - History, Geography, Economics, and Political Science, of which one must be either History or Geography.
For all the above positions, candidates must also have a B.Ed. or equivalent degree from a recognized University, passed the CBSE-conducted State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, and have proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.Application procedure

Eklavya model residential schools are conceptualised by the Govt under the Ministry of Tribal affairs, Govt of India, for the benefit of tribal and remote area students for imparting a good education to them through these residential schools.
