VIT-AP university Merit scholarship for UG and PG non-engineering programs 2021-2022

About scholarship

Established in 2017, VIT AP University (VIT AP) is situated in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. VIT scholarship is offered by the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. The scholarship aims to support the meritorious students by providing financial assistance to complete their education. It offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses in Engineering, Management and Commerce. The scholarship is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate non-engineering students. Currently, the university has invited applications for non-engineering students who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programs from the academic year 2021-2022.

Scholarship details

VIT Vellore scholarship can be availed by students who have secured good marks in the class 12th examination. Scholarships are given to students who perform exceptionally in the 12th class or entrance exams under different courses. State and Central Board Toppers are provided with a 100% tuition fee waiver for all four years. VITEEE rank holders of 1 to 50 are provided with a 75% tuition fee waiver for all four years. Additionally, VITEEE rank holders of 51 to 100 are provided with a 50% tuition fee waiver for all four years and VITEEE rank holders of 101 to 1000 are provided with a 25% tuition fee waiver for all four years.

Eligiblity criteria

  • Candidates should have passed class12th with a minimum aggregate of 60% in PCM or PCB combination.

  • For G. V. PG Merit Scholarship, the candidate should have secured a CGPA of 9.0 or 90% and above (whichever is applicable) in the First 4 Semesters/Two Years of the qualifying UG examination.

  • For Rajeswari PG Merit Scholarship, the candidate who has secured a CGPA of 8.0 or 80% and above (whichever is applicable) in the First 4 Semesters/Two Years of the qualifying UG examination and an additional 25% for a girl candidate making it a 75% scholarship.


  • Application Procedure

    The candidates who wish to avail the Scholarship of the VIT scholarship must visit the VIT's official website and read the instructions carefully before applying. Firstly, the candidate must register on the portal and log in using login credentials. Login credentials will be sent to the candidate's mobile number and email ID. Then log in by using the registered email ID and password. Complete the application form and upload the required documents. Finally, pay the online application fee along with the application form.

    Following documents are required:
    1. Copies of 10th and 12th marks card

    2. Upload an online photograph of the candidate with the dimensions: 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm. Size should be between 10KB and 200 KB.

    3. Candidates are also required to upload their signatures during registration. The size of the image should be between 10KB and 200 KB. Dimensions: 3.5 cm X 1.5 cm.

    Selection Procedure

    Selection will be done based on the rank secured through Computer Based Test /Qualifying exam marks. Selected candidates will be called for online/onsite counselling based on their ranking.

    Commencement of submission online application: 10th May 2021.
    Last date to apply: 31st May 2021.
