National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is an autonomous institute functioning under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Currently, NABI Mohali, a recognized centre of Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) in Faridabad is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to the PhD degree program(5-7 years duration) in Biotechnology. The programme will be conducted at NABI while the degree will be awarded by RCB (www.rcb.res.in). Although there is a total of 7 seats, there will be reservations also as per GOI guidelines. Eligibility
Candidates with 55% total marks or equivalent score in the qualifying degree MSc/MTech in any area of life sciences/MPharma/ MVSc/ MBBS or an equivalent degree are eligible for this PhD (Biotechnology) 2021 Program conducted by the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute(NABI) in Mohali. There will be 5% relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/PD candidates as per Government of India norms. Also, the candidates should qualify for a national level test like a doctoral fellowship or admission eligibility test conducted at the national level by UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DST/DBT or any other Government recognised agency for pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy programme.
Note: Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the final year/semester qualifying degree examination and whose results are awaited are also eligible to apply for this program. But their admission will be granted only if they satisfy the requirements at the time of the interview.

Eligible candidates who wish to join the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute(NABI) in Mohali for the PhD (Biotechnology) 2021 program can get the application form and synopsis sheet at the official website of NABI. Candidates should send their filled-in application form(including documents) along with a synopsis sheet in excel format by email (Single adobe pdf file) to phdbiotechprog@gmail.com.
To apply for PhD admissions at NABI, the application fee of Rs. 500/- plus GST @ 18% i.e. Rs 590/- should be deposited through SBI Bank Transfer, the details of which are mentioned below. After fee payment, the candidates must remember to attach their fee proof/acknowledgment with the application form while sending it through email.

From Chandigarh International Airport, if you are traveling by car, you can reach the destination via Mohali Airport Rd and NH5 (or) IT City Rd/Mohali Airport Rd. The journey will take 20-30 minutes to cover that 15-20 km. If you are traveling by train, the nearest railway station is Chandigarh Junction Railway Station. From there, you can reach NABI by car via Chandigarh Rd/Purv Marg OR via Sukhna Path OR via Chandi Path. It takes 25 minutes to cover that 15 km.
